That looks like a good one to me, pretty sure my cover is that one too, it is definitely black border with a painting like that!

The Crow has a bit of a weird publication if my memory is serving correctly. Roughly 2/3 of it were published in four of six intended floppy monthlies, but numerous bits planned weren't completed in time and were cut out. The final two issues of the six never got published. The four monthlies were re-published as two Prestige books, and the unpublished final 1/3 as a third Prestige. Shortly after the definitive TPB was released with all of the previously missing material now completed and it was the book O'Barr intended it to be. That is the one you have there. cheesy

It was then 15 or so years later O'Barr returned to the book and started making his George Lucas changes as previously detailed.

I have the three Prestige books, and the 2005 reprint of the TPB, I'm certain it is the same cover but rather than saying "Now A Major Motion Picture" it says "Back In Print At Last". Personally, I see no reason to track down the Prestige editions for anything other than as a collector, the finished story of the original TPB makes for a much better reading experience.

Enjoy the book, it is something quite special. smiley Let us know what you think, and if you read the Special Edition later, what you think of that too.
