Does any one of you know how to play an audiofile of the type ofr? I've tried and tried but I've got a zillion players on my computer and none of them can play the file.

2007 was such a crappy year for me and I keep hoping 2008 would be better. On Sunday, I received news that my father passed away. The funeral was on Wednesday and though I know he is gone, it's like I'm living in a bad dream. Today would have been his 59th birthday and I feel so empty. He always told me and others how proud he was of me. We grew more and more distant over the years so I wonder if he's still proud now that he knows everything I've done and haven't done with my life.
I miss him so much.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I think the growing away from your parents thing is simply a part of life. I don't feel I have much in common with my family and I don't see them as much as I should. That doesn't change the way I feel about them or the way they feel about me. Here's the part where I should give some incouraging words, but nothing's going to make you feel better right now except time. Focus on the positive and on the good times you guys shared. Honor his memory.

Blegh, this night sucks. It's 06h13 and I am not sleepy at all. Takes me back to my puberty and the endless mornings of newspaper delivery!
The reason for that is probably because I woke up pretty late this morning (it was noon) and I have been working on a song. I have recently given up hope of finding a good band in the near future and have therefore started composing music on the computer. I have to say: it's easier than I imagined.
Probably because the program I'm working with is easy, but I never thought that I, as a drummer, would be able to come up with good melodies. Yet, I have done so. I have finished one song (well, actually two, but the first one was really quick and pretty boring; more to see how the program worked) which is a real ambient-type song -- the type of music I can relax to, or even go to sleep to (usually not a good sign). I am now busy with the second song, which is more... happy, I guess. A nice organ melody, cool bassline and some nice drums, although I am planning on recording drums myself.
I think that is the nicest thing to do: create music that I like on the laptop, take it to a stage along with my drums and bassguitar, and just play stuff. I would love to incorporate live playing with the music I have made. I think I could make that work.
Once I have anything available online, I would love to hear some comments.

I don't know. Seems like any other year for me. I'm doing my internship there and my supervisor hasn't really figured out what to do, yet. So I'm just eating out of my nose...
It's a nice town, but I haven't been to any pubs, or seen anything of the nightlife, so far.
