I've been listening to Ultravisitor by Squarepusher as of late. Orbital - In Sides as well.

I've also been getting a lot of DnB tracks of the internet - tonight alone I've collected 1 hour and 44 minutes of DnB!
All legal, of course. No sarcasm.

Well, as long as we're talking Squarepusher, I really have to offer 'Hard Normal Daddy'. It's his best album and it's a perfect mix of electronics, funk, DnB and love for music. Just the song 'Beep Street' is enough to give me shivers...
Plus, I was listening to this album the entire time when I was reading Watchmen 2 months ago so when hearing tracks from this album, I think of Watchmen, especially the Comedian and the part where Nite Owl II asks him what happened to the American Dream and the Comedian replies "It came true. You're looking at it." I love that part.

And the Team America OST.
Team America. FUCK YEAH!
Coming again to save the motherfucking day, yeah.
America. FUCK YEAH!
Freedom is the only way, yeah.
Terrorists your game is through, 'cause now you have to answer to...
America. FUCK YEAH!
So lick my butt and suck on my balls.
America. FUCK YEAH!

"Don't Believe The Truth" by Oasis and "X & Y" by Coldplay are constant fixtures in my CD player right now. Both fantastic albums.

I didn't know there were any other Oasis fans around. Well, you're from "over there" tongue
Until this one, each of their albums (IMO) have been better than the previous. I'm not saying this one is bad, I'm just saying it's not better than the last.

I think I've stated my love for Oasis on more than one occasion, J. You just never listened. tongue I've been a big fan of theirs since "Definitely Maybe" in 1994.

In regards to your view of each album being better than the previous, I have the exact opposite view. Until this one I thought they were getting weaker with age but DBTT has restored my faith in them and the new band members.

You think Definitely Maybe is better than Be Here Now? shocked
Don't get me wrong, I love the early stuff, but they're really maturing well.

Noel Gallagher himself has said that "Be Here Now" is his least favourite album of the six. I didn't think it was as bad as he thought it was but it certainly can't stand up against "Definitely Maybe" as a true British rock and roll album. BHN is an album full of sweeping ballads and long guitar solos which merits it's place in any collection but it's not the Oasis we're used to.

Maybe you're more of a romantic at heart than I am, J. smiley

I think I'm more of a fan of music in the Led Zeppelin way. I love songs which are well constructed and that showcase all the members in a cohesive way. Long songs are great if the band works together. BHN has a sound that is unlike any other Oasis album, but as soon as you hear it, you know it's Oasis. The songs all fit together and work together to create the album, which, though not necessarily alien to other Oasis material, is very refreshing in today's world of pop, where we have albums that are collections of songs rather than a piece of music.

The last thing I hoped in my entire life is that someone like Gallagher could hear so much crap....

Aphex Twin - ...I Care Because You Do.
Great album. I think it's the best I have from AFX. I rate every number at least 4/5 and some are even 5/5.
Sheer genius... You have to like electronic music, DnB or the likes, though.

Squarepusher.
Not really an album I cannot get enough of (well, there is of course the brilliant Hard Normal Daddy, but I could list that one with every post), but two songs: Iambic 5 Poetry, a very beautiful, melodic and light song.
The other song is A Journey To Reedham (7 AM Mix), also by Squarepusher. Great melodies. 2 very different, distinct ones, but they work so well together.
