As of the moment, I still cannot get anough of Squarepusher. I made a 'Best Of Squarepusher' album for myself so I could listen to all his wonderful stuff on one CD. Check out Tundra (which is quite famous, or so I've been told), Squarepusher Theme or, my favorite, Theme from Ernest Borgnine.
Future Sound of London - Lifeforms has also been in my CD player for some time.
I've also been listening to -Ziq. He's quite okay. His Brace Yourself Jason is very good and the rest of that album is very nice as well. I've also got Royal Astronomy but have yet to listen to it.

Plus, my own band, We're getting better (especially our singer - she's really progressed a lot) and are about to have our first gig. Yeah cheesy.

OK, people, I want a straight answer: has anyone (besides Ars Magnus) checked out any of my recommendations? Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Orbital?

As of late, I've been digging the less 'neurotic' albums from Aphex Twin: his ambient stuff. Really good. Selected Ambient works 85-92 and Selected Ambient Works II have awesome songs on them. Great examples are 'Lichen', 'Stone in Focus', 'Parallel Strips', 'Heliospan', 'We Are The Music Makers' and 'Cliffs'.
Autechre also has some nice songs, especially 'Overand' is a great relaxing song.
We also have the not-so-commonly-known Global Communication and their album 76:14. Amazing album. '12 08' and '9 25', for example, are really good.

But to speak about the musicstyle ambient, is to utter the name Brian Eno. Man, his music is awesome. From Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks comes the song 'An Ending (Ascent)' and that's an amzing song. I also love the track 'Discreet Music', a laidback thirty minute piece. Eno worked with Robert Fripp (famous guitarist from King Crimson) on multiple occasions releasing 'No Pussyfooting', for example.
Man, I love Brian Eno and good ambient music.

So the ambient stuff is all for relaxing, for when your lying in bed and stuff. For my more active time, I put on songs with beats. And whaddaya know, I've got the perfect artist for it: Squarepusher!
I've been [downloading] his more rare CD's and there's a lot of stuff that's average, but luckily everywhere are gems to be found. For example, you might know the song 'Tundra'. 'Pusher did a remake of his song and called it 'Tundra 4'. Now, that is one amazing song! It has awesome feel to it - it's filled with atmosphere, all 12+ minutes of the song. And, eventhough there are already drums playing, the beats still kick in at a certain moment. That's one of the many goosebump-moments for me. In the middle, the song has a part where everything is at ease. And, oh man, the way the song builds up from this part on sheer genius. Damndamndamndamndamn, it's good!!
Other great songs are, aside form the ones already stated in previous posts, 'Dedicated Loop', 'My Sound', 'Squarewindow' and 'Tomorrow World'.
Almost everyone, I think, would enjoy his album Hard Normal Daddy.

That is one of the most under-rated albums ever. Beautifully done, but gets no recognition.

Damn true. I love Windowlicker, especially the intro is funny as hell. Come to Daddy is a lot more freaky... I love the way how the moments when the kids are sliding their bars over the rails are synchronized with the drums.

Lately, I've been channelling alot of classic Southern Rock, and have fallen in love with The Outlaws.

Check out some Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. They've got southern rock, tex-mex, etc. They're quite awesome.
