God damn! Summerslam looks shit sad

The only match that could hit a 4 star rating is Eddie vs Rey. Never mind though, i have Hardcore Homecoming and TNA Sacrifice to watch this weekend

Angle vs. Eugine. Might be fairly entertaining. Dinsmore is a pretty good wreslter
Winner: Angle

Jordan vs Benoit. Benoit has to go over here
Winner: Benoit

Undertaker vs. Orton.
Winner Orton

Eddie vs. Rey in a ladder. This should be the best match of the night. You know that they should've done in this match? hang Dominick from the roof. That'd be cool
Winner: Eddie

Matt Hardy vs. Edge. whatever way this goes........i couldn;t give a crap
Winner: Edge

Batista vs. JBL. For the love of god! Get the belt of that steriod fueled, charismaless sack of crap angry
Winner: JBL

Hogan vs. Michaels. Whatever happens, there won't be no clean win. Neither of them like to job.......ever! Though i don't think Hogan has ever faked injuries to get out of doing a job like Michaels
Winner Hogan

Jericho vs. Cena.
Winner: Cena

Angle vs. Eugene
- I agree that other folks like Benjamin or Show could've benefited from this Angle fued much more than Eugene but I think this might be okay. I'm looking for a three here.

Orange Juice vs. Benoit
- I know that it seems like Benoit should win and I know that more than anything else in this entire PPV... more than I care whether or not Hogan or Michaels get injured before the PPV... more than I care if JBL wins the title... more than anything I want Chris Benoit to win this match. But, c'mon guys... let's face facts. This is SmackDown!... and SmackDown! went from having the matches the fans want to see to having the champs the fans don't want to see. I hate it more than anything in the wrestling world but I'm gonna have to go with OJ... However, I'm praying this match was made to repair the damage done with the Great American Bash match. Either way I'm not even dignifying it with a quarter star.

Undertaker vs. Orton
- No Cowboy Bob... probably no surprising way to hit an RKO... I'm looking for only two and a half to three stars here. I think Orton can win it but I doubt it. Undertaker's been off TV so much that a loss here would (no pun intended) bury him. I want Orton to win but I'm picking 'Taker.

Eddie vs. Rey
- They need to have that engraved on all the programs for SmackDown! shows from now to forever. It seems like SmackDown! is trying to create something they can call the rivalry of the year and are merely churning out BoreFest '05. The first match was great. The second match was *yawn*. The third match was maybe they'll tear this one up... nope. Now, one match too late, IMO, they want to add a stipulation. You guys at SmackDown! need to grow brains. Y'know what would've been great? Rey gets a title shot at Cena at Judgment Day but Guerrero (upset about WrestleMania) ruins it. Then Eddie gets his shot at Great American Bash against Batista but this time (a now furious over Guerrero's antics of late) Mysterio costs Guerrero the match. This would be major hype. Insane hype. Not repetition. Not boredom. Ah, fuck it. It still won't beat Halloween Havoc and Rey better win because a loss would only continue this feud. I'm picking Rey and going with 3.5-4 stars.

Matt Hardy vs. Edge
- Here we actually had Raw hype a match good enough and then clusterfuck it in the end. Matt Hardy shouldn't have had a match until SummerSlam. Watching Matt's match on Raw all I could think was... This guy sucks. Now thinking back all I can ever remember liking about Matt was when he would have a mic in his hand as V1 or when he would take a huge bump in a TLC match. Seeing Matt so much now and actually in a match takes away that aura that the match had around it. Matt shouldn't have been brought out. Matt shouldn't have been reinstated. It should've been a reinstatement match. We should've only seen Matt very little up until the match when everybody would be going nuts over the fact that he was back. Right now, that's dead for me. Two stars, Edge wins.

Batista vs. JBL
- Wow! It's election day all over again! Which asshole do I choose? Time for a breakdown.

Batista: Boring. Has a three-wrestling-move vocabulary. Has never once impressed me. Stupid finisher. Couldn't carry a match if it came out of a package labeled "Diamond: Strike on Box." Stupid haircut. Humiliating catch-phrases such as, "You... you... you need an attitude adjustment." Thinks saying, "are you talkin' to me," is cool.

JBL: Boring. Has a ten-wrestling-move vocabulary. Used to impress me with the Clothesline from Hell. He's out of shape now (a fine time he chose for it) and, as a result, the Clothesline from Hell is now a stupid finisher. Carried the shit out of the Blue Meanie a few weeks ago but I doubt he could do it under less (no pun intended, again) extreme circumstances. Stupider haircut. I actually like the whole, "I am a wrestling god," catchphrase. Was in the ultra-cool "A Few Good Men" trailer.

I vote for JBL but am terrified that the entire building will implode due the the force of these two guys in the ring for too long doing nothing but SUCKING. One to two stars.

Chris Jericho vs. John Cena
- I had Jericho picked. Dude says he's leaving, though. But at WrestleMania I had Angle picked and Dude made me change my pick to Michaels because he said Angle was leaving. I'm going with Jericho. Cena's been getting away with too much on Raw after Raw and I think Jericho needs this. It's gonna be good. If it's like Vengeance it'll be great. Three to four stars.

Hogan vs. Michaels
- Alright. First things first. Let's get down to that Michaels doesn't job crack. Michaels jobbed to Bret Hart in every singles match they had together before WrestleMania XII. Michaels jobbed to Diesel at WrestleMania XI. Shawn jobbed to Stone Cold at WrestleMania XIV. Shawn jobbed to Kurt Angle at WrestleMania XXI. Shawn jobbed to Razor Ramon at WrestleMania X. Shawn jobbed to Chris Jericho at WrestleMania XIX. Shawn aided in putting over Chris Benoit at WrestleMania XX. That's just the WrestleManias. Hell, the man has had job after job since coming back. He didn't win a single pay-per-view match from September all the way until April. He lost to Triple H (in under 15 minutes), Edge (in an opening match), and Kurt Angle (on the biggest stage of all) along the way. Don't forget to mention that he was not the man to beat Hassan on Raw, although he did face him.

That said. I'm going with Hogan. I want Shawn to win very badly but I doubt he will. This is Hulk freaking Hogan. Shawn has beat a lot of guys but this is Hulk freaking Hogan. This would make everything Shawn has said over the past few weeks true. I doubt the WWE wants to make what Shawn's been saying true. Plus, Shawn's the heel. Plus, Hogan's leaving. Plus, Hogan actually doesn't job. I have to go with Hulk freakin' Hogan.

As far as match quality... Hogan/Rock 2 entertained me a lot. I think any heel like Rock, Austin, Michaels or Jericho makes for a very entertaining match with Red and Yellow Hogan. Three stars. I'll give it another quarter if Shawn puts on Hogan's bandana and mocks him.

You speak da truth.

Still, Shawn's WrestleMania record is shit and stands as a testament to his willingness to job on even the grandest stage in wrestling.

I've tried to be positive, but I can no longer live a lie: I am no longer a Jericho fan. After they ruined him on Raw (that scene with Jericho begging broke my heart), I don't see how they could possibly make Chris Jericho mean something anymore. I like the Jericho who had goals; now I just see him standing around.

Here's what I want to happen. Cena goes over Angle, HHH and Edge. Then turns heel and goes over HBK, Big Show and Kane thus jobbing out the roster. So Cena's ego gets too big for the WWE. After defending the title at the Royal Rumble he cuts a promo saying he's beaten everyone the WWE could throw at him. Then, a countdown starts 30... 29... 28... 27... 26... 25. It stops at 25. Cena looks confused. Then during the rumble the 25th entrant buzzer goes off but no one comes. Then another countdown 10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2. It's stops at two. The the letters Y and J appear on either side of the two. BANG. Pyro. Jericho comes out and starts eliminating wrestlers. The at the end it's between him and Big Show fighting on the apron. Show goes for a clothesline, Y2J ducks and gets back in the ring then hits a spingboard dropkick to win the rumble.

Then Cena and Bischoff try to get Y2J on Smackdown. They do this by setting up Y2J for a handicap match against Angle and HHH where if Y2J loses, he loses his title match and his job. People remind him that he lost his job under similar circumstances. During the match Shelton Benjamin interferes and gets Angle away from the match. HHH goes for a Pedigree and Y2J counters into the wall of Jericho for the tap out.

Then Y2J wins at Wrestlemania ending Cena's one year reign of terror. Y2J is celebrating when Benoit the Smackdown champ comes out and congradulates his best friend ala WM XX.

Personally, I've felt a big rejuvination in Jericho with his feud with Cena. I understand what you mean for the rest of 2005. Jericho was just, literally, standing around. Even the WrestleMania match was just thrown together. Of course, this ain't the first time this happened:

Remember that other period with Jericho doing nothing? It was right at the time when he won the Hair vs. Hair match against Kevin Nash (a match put together only because Nash's hair had to be cut for "The Punisher.")... in between his feud with HBK and his crush on Trish.

Anyway, Jericho's site said that he was done with wrestling "for now" (and that statement was quickly removed... likely, for WWE to keep the angle looking realistic) so I doubt he'll do any more standing around for a while.

He probably doesn't mind. Look at Booker T, he's being doing jack shit since early 2003 yet he's fine with life.

When Goldberg showed up that night on Raw to confront The Rock, I made sure I wouldn't watch Raw until Goldberg left. I never saw that feud, but that's still the Jericho I liked - a man with goals. I bet he made some good shots against Nash in his Hi Light Reel.

Since I lost electricity due to Hurricane Katrina, I missed Smackdown. Did anything good happen?

You missed the best segment of the year. Where Chris Benoit played a tape of his 25.5 second match with Orlando Jordan while trying to make coffee in the time it for him to beat Jordan.

You guys really underrate Goldberg. He is very easily carried, look at his match with Jericho at Bad Blood 2003. Gldberg took more bumps than Jericho did as well as selling his shoulder while Y2J worked on it. Hell, unlike Edge who uses the same shoulder for the spear no matter what Goldberg used his uninjured one for the spear. Even when he wanted to leave WWE at least he was professional enough to honour his contract. Unlike guys like Lesnar and Austin (who could just as easily asked for time off and it would've been granted just like that).

I certainly do not underate Goldberg. However, I must admit that I'm frusterated with everybody overating him. Goldberg is great. Heck, he's definitely better than any of the WWE's current champions, but he still isn't near the greatest that people want to make him out to be. Add to that the fact that he short-cuts himself. His entire WCW run there was never a match that he won that didn't end with a spear followed by a jackhammer. This guy main evented the biggest shows the company had and forever pulled the same shit. And he rarely... rarely (if ever, for that matter) missed the damn spear.

Also, what was it like 375-0? The man went undefeated from November '97 to December '98. Was that necessary? And how did he do it? By giving established stars no credibility. Look at what he did to Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan in one night! And when he finally does get beaten it's through the use of a cattle prod...

Let's also not forget that Goldberg can't have a match... Any match... without someone carrying him. Hell, Austin was the ref at WMXX because Goldberg and Brock were gonna have trouble.

Okay, in closing, I'd like to list a few reasons why Goldberg's status should be considered overrated:

Kurt Angle
Steve Austin
Chris Benoit
Shelton Benjamin
Rob Van Dam
Edge
Ric Flair
Mick Foley
Eddie Guerrero
Triple H
Scott Hall
Bret Hart
Jeff Jarrett
Chris Jericho
Brock Lesnar
Paul London
Shawn Michaels
Rey Mysterio
Kevin Nash
Randy Orton
The Rock
Rhyno
Trish Stratus
Sting
Booker T
Taz(z)
Undertaker
Vader
Sean Waltman

And I know I'm missing a lot. I'd say Goldberg is great but, again, no where near the best.

IMO I'd put Goldberg ahead of Kevin Nash. He was so easily carried to ***+ with Jericho why can't he go ***+ with Benoit? Or Angle? Or HBK? Or Eddie? He's probably one of the easiest guys to carry. I totally agree with you. He's great but not the best. I like him about as much as I do Batista.
