Oh my bad. Is 2005 the year of HBK? He refereed one of the most important matches of 2005 (Chamber match), had two **** matches in one night (Rumble 05), stole the the show Wrestlemania, gave Shelton Benjamin his best match ever, stole the show at Vengance, had the best heel turn in recent years, carried Hogan to his best match since 1989 and is currently preparing to have the best TV match ever. Yeah, I'd have to say HBK owns 2005.

Benoit in 04 is God. He won the Royal Rumble from the no 1 entry, main evented Wrestlemania, made HHH tap out, made Hbk tap out in the exact same situation, carried Kane to his best match ever, sqaushed him two weeks later and made him tap, beat HHH in a PPV main event, beat HHH in an Iron man match, lost to Orton (who was ebing shoved down everyone's throats), made Ric Flair tap out, squashed La resistance to win the tag titles, main evented survivor series, GMed RAW and main evented Survivor Series.

So who wants to see Benoit vs. HBK III?

I'd love to see it (wasn't aware there was a I or II aside from the triple threats) but I feel like Shawn would job and I don't want to see Shawn job anymore for a while. We saw, in my opinion, the best WrestleMania and Summerslam matches in a while from him and he lost both of them. That blows chunks. I wanna see him with the title. It'd be great if there was a completely impromptu, unadvertised match between him and Cena on Raw one day and he beat Cena and took the belt. Alas, not gonna happen.

BTW: That exact same situation would as great, if not better, if you switch HBK with Benoit, Cena with Batista and Raw with SmackDown!.

I was just watching HBK/Benoit/Triple H from Backlash (never saw it before) and I didn't realize that Shawn tapped to Benoit's sharpshooter... in Canada, none the less.

For the heck of it...
Three matches I'd love to see:
Benoit vs. Michaels vs. Angle for a belt

Any of the above three vs. Shelton Benjamin on PPV

Benoit vs. Michaels vs. Angle in a (I believe the first) Triple Threat Iron Man Match

HBK vs. Benoit I:
February 16, 2004: Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Benoit via Superkick.

HBK vs. Benoit II:
May 3, 2004: World Champion, Chris Benoit, defeated Shawn Michaels via HHH Pedigree.

HBK vs. Benoit III:
Wrestlemania 22: Chris Benoit defeated World Champion Shawn Michaels via Crippler Crossface in under 25.5 seconds.

I was looking at some of the stuff I DL'd off of LimeWire and I realized I'd love to see another Bret/Shawn or Bret/Austin or Austin/Michaels match. And I don't think this one ever happened but a Triple Threat between Bret, Shawn and Austin.

Of course, I don't know to what degree Bret can work in the ring. If he can still do it I'd like to see Angle/Benoit/Michaels/Hart. That'd be great.

BTW: No way does Benoit beat Michaels in 25.5 seconds. Could that even be considered a good match? I can name at least eight people, three of which are huge Benoit fans, who would be so pissed that they'd literally throw something large and heavy at the television.

Personally, I don't care who wins but I really don't want either guy to win in 25.5 seconds. They gotta go for a minimum of 30 minutes.

That was my birthday (21st at that)... y'mean to tell me that Michaels wouldn't just give it to him? He just won the title and he's made to look like he can't defend unless someone cheats for him? And Batista's squashing people left and right?!

1. If Benoit/HBK III went 25.5 seconds I would throw something at my TV. Went 30 minutes minimum aswell.

2. My dream triple threat: Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Stone Cold Stever Austin.

3. Bret's body has been too fucked up over the years after concussions, motorcycle accidents and strokes to compete in the ring. Why thats happend to Bret and not JBL I'll never know.

4. Beating HBK with help was probably the only time Benoit was made to look weak during his title reign.

5. HBK/Angle III should be one hour not 30 minutes.

I didn't really appreciate SummerSlam '02, Survivor Series '02 or Armageddon '02. Shawn seemed too stiff in all three matches. He's much more loose now. I don't know, it seemed like a robot version of HBK. Not like the one I really like and we're getting now... maybe it's the pants.

The funny thing is those are three of my favourite matches from 2002. In fact Summerslam 02 is my favourite from te HHH/HBK series. Here's how I rank them.

Summerslam 02
Raw December 03
Bad Blood 04
Armageddon 02
Royal Rumble 04
Taboo Tuesday 04

You remember a lot of stuff, Dude. I wouldn't have mention Raw, didn't watch Bad Blood and didn't watch Taboo Tuesday... anyway:

* Raw (December 1997) European Championship
* Royal Rumble 04
* Armageddon 02
* Summerslam 02
* Raw December 03

P.S. MidL, I haven't seen the Euro title match. I though HBK just layed down for HHH and that was it.
