The Survivor Series card has been announced. It sounds very good and could possibly be the best SS in years.

*SPOILER*
HBK, Carlitio, Masters, Big Show, Shelton Benjamin vs. JBL, Benoit, Christian, Mr. Kennedy, Rey Mysterio.
Looks like we're getting HBK/Benoit 2.25
*SPOILER*

Ranting for lack of another place to rant about wrestling:

Carlito... I was on wikipedia and it says that Carlito is based on Scott Hall's Razor Ramon character. This disturbed me. Are wrestling fans this ignorant? History lesson time:

In 1983, Al Pacino starred in a movie called Scarface. He played the main character, Tony Montana. Montana became a cult icon.

In 1988, Scott Hall and Diamond Dallas Page created an in-ring character for Hall known as The Diamond Stud. The Diamond Stud is based (at least his speaking mannerisms) on Al Pacino's Tony Montana character. This is obvious. In 1992, Hall joined the WWF as Razor Ramon, however, he maintained the mannerisms of The Diamond Stud. Razor Ramon became very well known for his way of speaking.

In 1993, Al Pacino starred in a movie called Carlito's Way. He played the main character, Carlito Brigante, and utilized an accent almost identical to the one he utilized for Tony Montana. Brigante also became a cult icon.

In 2004, Carlos Colon Jr. debuted on WWE television. He is the son of the legendary Carlos Colon (for those that don't know, Ric Flair is 16 time World Champion, Carlos Colon beat him for one of those and Flair won one of those from Carlos.) and as such was given a nickname so that he wouldn't be confused with his father. His name was Carly. Carly Colon debuted in the WWE as Carlito Caribbean Cool. In addition to adopting the name Carlito, it is presumed that he also took the accent from either Tony Montana or, more likely, Carlito Brigante. The fact that he further changed his name to match the latter is a huge sign that the accent was not derived from Hall's characters and history shows that Hall can hardly be credited for creating an accent that is obviously not originated from his mind but rather an Al Pacino character.

Okay, I'm done.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero. Eddie will probably need his back fussed after carrying that sack of shit Batista. I so want Eddie to win....but i don't see it happening.

Winner: Batista huh

Handicap Casket Match
The Undertaker vs. Randy & Bob Orton. Taker generally loses these matches, so i dunno.

Winner The Ortons

WWE United States Championship
Fatal Four Way Match
Chris Benoit vs. Booker T vs. Orlando Jordan vs. Christian.

Winner, I'm gonna go for Booker

Rey Mysterio vs. JBL

Winner JBL

L.O.D. & Christy Hemme vs. MNM. This should be for the Tag titles. angry Surley they've sold all the Road Warrior DVD's they are going to by now angry

Winners MNM

Simon Dean vs. Bobby Lashley

Winner Lashley

Hardcore Holly vs. Ken Kennedy. I bet Holly does his usual stiff shots like the pathetic hasbeen he is, and Kennedy got the best of him on Smackdown the other night, which generally means you lose the PPV. I'll still be outraged if the greatness that is Kenneddy doesn't get the win here

Winner Mrrrrrrrr Kennedyyyyyyy

Kennedyyyy

Winner

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Nunzio vs. Juventud.

Winner Juvi

In an unprecedented collaboration, network executive Palmer Canon and SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announced today the introduction of a new WWE wrestling division exclusive to Friday Night SmackDown: The Juniors.

The Juniors Division will be comprised of world-class athletes at or below 5 feet tall. “Midgets, dwarves, the little people; they’re all welcome,” said Long. “We don’t discriminate against anybody on my show, as long as they can bring it.”

“The network believes there’s big ratings and big excitement in the new Juniors Division," Canon added. "I think fans will be shocked at what these tiny, but very talented, competitors can add to the already incredibly gifted roster here on Friday Night SmackDown.”

Can anyone say "Chris Benoit Junior Heavyweight Champion"?

Sounds like something they'd have on RAW

Afterall that's the "Entertainment" show undecided

I think gimmicks like this would be better on there....since they seem to have things like that

Yeah RAW is always the more gimmicky show. As far as gimmicks go Smackdowns got Undertakers "close the lights and play cool video" thing is about it. If you look at the big gimmicked main events RAW has way more than SD.

SD had a cage match, a ladder match, an I quit match and a street fight.

RAW had a chamber match, a ladder match, a last man standing match, Hell In A Cell, a cage match, and pretty much all of this years Taboo Tuesday.

So yeah midgets are better off on RAW fighting the Big Show.

It's just very unfortunate that SmackDown! doesn't use these gimmicks. With guys like JBL, OJ and MNM you'd think they'd at least give you a cool match in which you see these guys get smacked in the face with a ladder.
