PWTorch

Eddie Guerrero was found in his hotel room in Minneapolis with his toothbrush in his mouth. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. At this point, the belief among WWE personnel is that Guerrero died of heart failure.

Shortly after Guerrero's body was found and removed from the room, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero visited the hotel room to say their goodbyes. WWE wrestlers and staffers were visibly shaken and emotional while leaving the hotel to go the Target Center, the site of tonight's Raw/Smackdown taping. Word from WWE sources is that the tenor of tonight's taping will be dramatically different and that the Smackdown show will need to be revised.

Guerrero's death is now the lead story on WWE.com, under the headline "Tragic Loss". The article says that WWE is "deeply saddened" by Guerrero's death, and provides no further details on his passing.

From PWinsider

"As I am sure you will all understand, the reaction to Eddie Guerrero's sudden passing has blindsided everyone I talked to in WWE this morning. The workers I have spoken to about it are just numb and shocked.

The word I have gotten is that the company has decided to make both the Raw and Smackdown shows at tonight's combined taping in Minneapolis tribute shows to Eddie. The usual format for the shows has been changed to instead incorporate tributes to Eddie."

If they're still going to have the title match on Smackdown, then Benoit should win it

I've been trying to post something for over an hour but I just fucking couldn't.

There's nothing I can say that could tell you guys just how sad I am. I'm fuckin' crying.

Eddie, you will live forever in our hearts and memories.

I think this would be appropriate:

Quote:
Why? Why are the innocent punished? Why the sacrifice? Why the pain? There aren't any promises. Nothing certain. Only that some get called, some get saved. He won't ever know the hardship and grief for those of us left behind. We commit him to the void with a glad heart. For within each seed, there is a promise of a flower, and within each death, no matter how small, there is always a new life. A new beginning. Amen.

I've been wanting to post something but it's hard since I'm usually tongue-in-cheek with my posts but it's Monday and I feel like I miss watching Eddie Guerrero wrestle. That's crazy since I wouldn't have seen him until at least Friday anyway...

This really sucks. I don't feel much like discussing wrestling right now.

Is anybody not gonna watch the tribute shows? I can understand why some wouldn't. I'm bracing myself to tear up.

I watched his ladder match with RVD for the Intercontinental Title from Raw as soon as I read on WWE.com that Eddie was gone. I felt I had to appreciate something he did that I thought was great.

Have any of you watched any of his matches or anything?

My brother-in-law (12) had a really good idea, though. He suggested that Eddie be burried with a World or WWE Title. That'd be great.

It's sad knowing that his wife and kids won't have him for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years. Even sadder that his youngest daughter (2) won't know him...

I was gonna ask on Sunday if anybody had his DVD cause i was wanting to get it at some point

Last was so sad

Poor Benoit. He just looked totally broken at the start. He could barley stand, and then he just completley breaks down in his comments bit. That was heartbreaking, and really hard to watch

I watched the other comments on WWE.com this morning too

JBL's were very nice. Seems they became real good freinds

Regal could barley string a sentance together. It looked like he was just going to lose it straight away. Him and Eddie were spose to be real tight

Fucking class bit by Cena, laying the belt on Eddies shirt

The Smackdown is gonna be even more emotional as that was Eddies ahow

Vickie Guerrero speaks on Eddie's autopsy report
Nov. 15, 2005

After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire sports-entertainment community is steel reeling from the devastating loss of a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com spoke with Eddieís widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.

ďIt was heart failure. It was from his past Ė the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and thatís what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadnít hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasnít feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasnít feeling good and we thought it was just ďroad tired.Ē So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

When he didnít call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night).

I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.

Iím just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. Itís touched my heart a lot.

Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put together.

All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for that. And I donít know what to do now.Ē

Pretty much what i thought huh

I had not yet cried.

I almost cried when I found out. Eyes got itchy.

I almost cried when I saw Chris Benoit's words on Raw.

I taped it so, while watching it a second time, I almost cried when I was laughing at some clips of him that were showing and forgot for a second that he was dead and we wouldn't get to see anything else from him.

But when I read this:

When he didnít call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night).

I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.

That made me cry. When I think about that as my wife...

That hurts the most.

I'm sorry that this happened to Eddie and his family. He truly didn't deserve it. This is a man who didn't feel he should care about what happens to his body and upon discovering the value of life and the necessity for him to make his life better and quit drinking and drugs this happens. Life is truly unfair.

P.S.: I cried again when I started copying it in order to paste it here.

I've always watched these shows, though nowadays I've missed a lot of them. But, when I heard about what happened to Eddie, I watched RAW all the way through and... God, it's a fucking tragedy, that's what it is.

Only the good die young, and through he madee a career out of "lying, cheating, and stealing," he must have been good enough to die at such a young age.

RIP, man. Viva la rasa.

Was anybody aware that Brock Lesnar had a new tattoo?

I hadn't found out about this until five minutes ago.
