He'll probably just turn out to be another Giant Gonzales and disappear after an unsuccessful fued with Taker.

I'm quite impressed with Bobby Lashley. He kinda reminds me of Brock Lesnar, a big guy that can move quickly. Hope he wins KotR. cheesy

Hey, long time no see!

Guaranteed Angle/Lashely finals. Who wins, I'm not quite sure.

It would be so funny if at Backlash God turned out to be Ric Flair in a bed sheet and a fake long white beard.

Is somebody actually supposed to come in as God? That'd be cool.

Does anybody know what Randy Orton got suspended for? I can't find it anywhere online...

BTW, both big guys that debuted last week where God awful. Je deteste le "Big Men."

You would if you saw Trish Stratus last week. I swear, I've never seen her look that hot.

And now he's The Great Cauli. Meh.

Right on about Lashley, Emma. I'm rooting for him as well.

And it's great to see TNA at a time I can actually watch it.

I was lucky enough to catch some of it. I have to say that Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe is right up there as one of the top three matches (if not number 1) of 2006 not on pay-per-view.

Joe actually went from an Elevated Boston Crab to a Step-over Toe-hold Facelock to a Crippler Crossface and finished with a variation of a Scissored Armbar. That's a Chris Jericho into John Cena into Chris Benoit and finally Perry Saturn. One of the coolest things I've seen in submission wrestling.

I must note, however, that I was disappointed with the stiffness of his shots for the most part. I've heard entirely too much hype and saw practically nothing that impressive in this particular match (other than his various renditions of Shinning Wizards).

Great finish to the match as well.

I gotta say, though, TNA has to stop saying he's undefeated. He lost to Daniels in Ultimate X. Saying he's unpinned and not yet made to submit in his TNA career is okay but I've found that this (and a few other things TNA does) is insulting to the viewer. Another example would be the whole situation with telling us that Sting was retired (even though he worked independant shows) and that his last match was at the last Nitro (even though he worked independant shows). WWE's guilty now, too. Kane has voices in his head that we can all hear?

Really? shocked Dude, when was Eddie doing that kinda stuff? I gotta watch one of those matches.

Unless you were just saying that Eddie does all of those moves (just not chained together). In that case, I guess I've already seen him do all of them a lot (well, he didn't do the crossface a lot).

Joe vs Sabu for me IS the PPV, but if Sabu's really broken his arm then they really shouldn't let him wrestle

The whole PPV was good. I dug up my review for you:

Judgement Day 05

MNM vs. Haas and Holly
Pretty solid and a fair bit better than your average tag match. Haas was trying pretty hard here because of the upcoming draft lottery, but nothing came of it. Melina gives me a tingling sensation in my pants.

Rating: **

Carlito vs. Big Show
Nothing much of note here. Big Show pretty much squashed Carlito until a ref bump and an F-5 from Matt M m-m-m-m-morgan. After seeing Goldberg, Brock and Cena lift Show over their heads, it wasn’t as impressive any more.

Rating: *

Chavo vs. London
Pretty good. The cruiser division deserves better than it’s getting these days. The match was smilar to the Chavo/Rey matches of last year. However it wasn’t given near enough time.

Rating: ***

Heh, there’s a segment where Booker is looking for Kurt Angle backstage and in the background Paul London can be seen taking a piss wearing a towel and whistling.

Kurt Angle vs. Booker T.
While the storyline was total shit, I’m glad Booker was given something to go with. The match itself was great. But it needed more time and a non botched finish. Given those and taking away the Sharmell thing that happened afterwards this would be heading to serious ****+ territory.

Rating: ***3/4

OJ vs. Heidenreich
Heidencrap.

Rating: DUD

Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
The video package for this was one of the best ones I’ve ever seen. Eddie was great in this match, busting out moves I’ve never seen him do, like the spinebusters on the announce table as well as the Liontamer into the Boston Crab into the STF. Rey wasn’t too bad (understatement of the year) in this either, especially with that ringpost 619 into the back of Eddie’s head. However, I could’ve done without the Chavo interference and the DQ ending. And despite of all that, I still say that this is the second best match of the year.

Rating: ****1/2

JBL vs. John Cena.
Very different match to say the least. I was expecting more visual diarrhoea akin to the Wrestlemania match, but I was totally surprised by this, they put in a lot of effort. From Cena’s over the top entrance on the truck to amounts of blood lost by both guys this was great. Definitely JBL’s best match ever, which isn’t saying much but this was one of the most brutal matches I’ve seen since Mick Foley’s stuff from back in the day.

Rating: ****

Y'know, Dude... I miss your reviews. Nothing to say about WrestleMania 22? It feels like this thread is dying and it makes me sad.

I'm still working on my Tombstone History Of The Undertaker review. It's fucking huge and it's nearly ready.

After that expect a review for every Wretlemania. Then some random PPV's.
