Well, according to Angle he was proud of his last match at a house show. He fought RVD and they got a standing ovation afterwards. Don't worry he'll have a retirement match. This is another Austin situation, we'll see him against Benoit (The Rock to his Austin so to speak) at Wrestlemania 23.

I think he should wrestle Scott Steiner at WrestleMania 23... Okay, no I don't.

Wow they really are going to waste Hell in A Cell this year. Look at all the blood fueds of this year.

Edge/Cena
Foley/Flair
Angle/Orton
Lashely/Finlay
D-x/McMahons

I wish they saved it for Finlay/Lashely. Or if they had to do a tag HIAC, Batista/Lashely vs. Finlay/Booker/Regal. That would've been the surefire match of the year.

Alas they waste it on D-X/McMahons. At least Big Show is in it, that that should freshen things up.

Okay, Dude... I'm staring at you like I'm a Klan member in a KKK club and you're Dave Chappelle performing on stage. In other words, are you serious?

I'm tired of Triple H/HBK vs. the McMahon's, too. Hell, I was tired of it before WrestleMania. But I would rather watch that a twenty-seventh time than see Sucktista/Lashley (a guy who has shown me a dominator and a spear... two moves that I've not only seen before, I've seen done better before) against King Booker/Finley ("My name is Finley, and I like to bore")/Regal (Great talent but couldn't carry a match if it came out of a box that read "Diamond Strike On Side").

What I would like to see... McMahon gets Big Show, King Booker and Edge to face Michaels and Triple H in Hell in a Cell. John Cena volunteers his help to D-X and McMahon says if Cena and D-X can't win Hell in a Cell, Cena is fired from Raw. That would tie together a bad ass Hell in a Cell with another Edge/Cena match and Cena's leaving Raw stipulation all in one little package. Tell me you wouldn't want to see that. Of course, Show/Edge/Booker would have to kick ass in order to maintain the credibility of the three champions.

Well, I probably don't remember his WCW stuff as well as I should and thus far I hate his WWE stuff. Why the Little Bastard? Why the Shi-lay-lee? It frusterates. I wanna see a good match against a good opponent... Make him face and I might like him.

Watch his match against Chris Benoit at Judgement Day, no Little Bastard (Who rules) or Shilleligh.

I'll watch that match... also, I realize I was very brief in my last post. Let me elaborate: Heels cheat. That's acceptable. However, I think it's particularly lame when a heel cheats the same way in every match and nobody is wise to it. How can everybody fall for the little bastard and the shilleligh?

Let's take Kurt Angle: Kurt is a great heel. Two of his most memorable "cheat to win" victories were at the 2000 Survivor Series and a 2003 episode of SmackDown!. Both of which were occasions where Eric Angle replaced Kurt during the match in order for Kurt to take advantage of his opponents' (first Undertaker and later Brock Lesnar) confusion. Why are they memorable as well as very believable? They are the only two times Kurt has utilized Eric Angle to win a match. Had Kurt done this more than twice and had the two times been closer than almost three years apart it wouldn't have been as realistic.

That brings me back to the little bastard. Finlay uses him every single match I've seen since WrestleMania (maybe before, too). It's also worked as planned every single time I've seen it. Do his opponents not watch SmackDown!? Or do the guys not go to the back and talk about the leprechaun that came from under the ring? How many times has this crap worked on Bobby Lashley alone? How many times can you watch this before it becomes entirely too predictable? The little bastard does rule... but in moderation. Let him come in once every two or three months at a PPV or something and you've got something but every Finlay match (that's every week) and it gets very predicatable and very lame very quickly.

The same applies for the shilleligh. Just consider Triple H and how he's synonymous with the sledge hammer or Edge/Christian and their synonymity with chairs or the con-chair-to. The same applies for Shawn Michaels/the Hardy Boyz and ladders or RVD with chairs or Mick Foley with Barbie. Weapons, while great in wrestling don't have to be in every single match for a wrestler to be associated with them. Every match and it becomes as lame as the Bossman's nightstick or Regal's brass knuckles. How stupid do you have to be to fall for the same trick that everybody else fell for or (in Bobby Lashley's case) the same trick you fell for nine times before.

It all reminds me of Billy Kidman as WCW Cruiserweight Champion and how in every match he had (and this is literally speaking... every single match) his jackass of an opponent would attempt a powerbomb on Kidman that Kidman would counter into a face-buster. And this crap would happen in every single match and I'm like, "dumbass, don't try to powerbomb Kidman. He's got some kind of magic that he can counter every single powerbomb you try." But every week it would happen.

Do you go into the match and say, "Duh... I wonder if Finlay's got the little bastard under the ring today... I mean, he was there for the last 21 Finlay matches but I guess probably not."

One last thing about your match suggestion: I just realized it was against Benoit. Benoit could carry anybody. I want to see Finlay have a good match with a nobody. Put him in there with Batista and let him carry Batista and I'll say he's great.

I will, however, watch the match with an open mind.

Lashely can counter Little Bastard now. When Finlay grabs Little Bastard, Lashely spears Finlay making Finlay throw little Bastard out of the ring. That's why Finlay did use him on Lashely this week.

Good news: house show lineups suggest Chris Benoit is returning to feud with King Booker's court.

Bad news: Those linups where changed and it seems Benoit is being thrown into the "Cheapen Eddie Guerrero's legacy as much as we can, because let's face why should we let a good christian family man rest in peace?" feud.

Though, I agree Benoit should be doing better things (as well as Mysterio) I don't agree that the angle is against what Eddie would have wanted. Of course, no one can really say what he would have wanted and I've been thinking about it for a while and the only negative I see is his daughters' mother being off at WWE shows. But Eddie probably wouldn't have had a problem with the angle if Rey, Vickie, Chavo and now Benoit don't show signs of having a problem with it (I mean Vickie's doing this all voluntarily) and I'm sure he'd be happy that his wife has a source of income for the immediate time being. As a husband and someone who has a great love for wrestling I don't think that if I were Eddie I would complain or be bothered by any of it. As a matter of fact (and unfortunately), Eddie seems to be considered far greater since dying than he was alive and I don't think that'd bother him at all.

Additionally, you should consider Eddie's beliefs on his passing. He's Christian so he sees death as something good. He's in heaven with God. Death is only a bad thing in that his family is alone. But I think he'd want them to move on and use what he left behind to advance in life. Remember, Eddie got married the day after burrying his father.

I saw an interview with Eddie's family following WrestleMania 22 and it surprised me the confidence and strong mind that all of them demonstrate. The fact that they seemed so sure of themselves as far as where Eddie is made Randy Orton's comment of, "Eddie's not in heaven. Eddie's down there... in Hell!" much more palatable. I was worried about how it'd affect his daughters but I guess we, the fans outside of the family, are the only people worried about the family.

That just about sums up the problem. I don't want Lashley to be able to counter Finlay's hook. I want Finlay to use the little bastard so sparingly that it works every time just so long as every time is at least 2-3 months apart.

I just finished watching the Judgment Day match between Benoit and Finlay (fortunately, Judgment Day is showing on WWE 24/7).

First, I have to say that the match was very good (especially considering that at 21 minutes and change it was the longest match of the night). Finlay did show some very impressive moves (including but not limited to: slamming Benoit's head/neck on the apron over and over and his quickness in performing a drop toe hold and a knee drop).

However, Benoit impressed me much more. He hit a German on the outside that looked sick. I also liked Benoit's Three Amigos that he started while Finlay was standing on the apron.

Also, I disliked Finlay going for the chair and the Shilleligh (sp?). Yes, he did try to use the Shilleligh. However, the Shilleligh usage led to the German Suplex I refered to earlier but as soon as he grabbed the Shilleligh my stomach turned. Note: This wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad had it not been for the constant use of the Shilleligh in every other match.

I didn't like how Finlay did the whole Crossface thing. When he grabbed his arm it clearly looked like Finlay could've done something with his other arm or something and he made a stupid face and acted like he was in an earthquake. Then he decided to tap out 0.5 seconds into the Crossface after Benoit finally got it hooked in. I seriously doubt he felt any kind of serious pain in that instant.

Other than that I'd say the match was great for a mid-card match. Benoit in no way carried Finlay. However, the match would not have been very good as a main event and that is due entirely to Finlay's style. He just can't deliver as a main eventer.

All of that said, I'd have to say that Finlay would probably be really good in Hell in a Cell as long as it was some sort of Tag Team Match. He'd probably use the Cell in really impressive ways. However, I wouldn't make it a main event and I wouldn't do it unless there was a balance to Finlay's slow style (which a tag match with guys like Benoit, Booker, Rey Mysterio, etc. would be perfect for).

Finlay no longer sucks in my book. He still, however, is not the man.

Finlay/Benoit is maybe the fourth best match of the year. It was good, ***3/4. This year has been dissapointing for quality matches.

Seriously, with D-X caught up with Vince and Shane, Kurt Angle either injured or taking his ball and going home, Benoit on his sobatical, Batista injured and then returning to still wrestle like Batista, Randy Orton suspended and Kahli (sp?) and Mark Henry getting huge pushes... I'd say most matches have sucked.

Although, I wouldn't make that match fourth.

I liked Triple H/Cena from WrestleMania, Orton/Angle from One Night Stand, Edge/Foley from WrestleMania, Angle/Orton/Mysterio from WrestleMania, Orton/Mysterio from the SmackDown! after WrestleMania, Edge, Foley and Lita/Dreamer, Funk and Beulah from One Night Stand, Michaels/Benjamin from the January 23 Raw, Benoit/Orton No Holds Barred from January 27's SmackDown!, Orton/Super Crazy from the March 3 SmackDown!, Undertaker/Angle from No Way Out, Undertaker/Angle from the March 3 SmackDown! and Michaels/Angle from the January 16 Raw more than I liked this match.

Again, all great matches but nothing extremely memorable or exceptional. The Orton/Angle/Mysterio match could've been that but it was cut extremely short.

Actually considering his use of the spear/jackhammer combo, Batista wrestles like someone else.

Anyway, my top ten so far.

Angle/Taker. No Way Out. ****3/4
Flair/Edge. TLC. RAW Jan. ****1/4
Edge/HHH/Cena. Backlash. ****
Taker/Angle. Smackdown March. ****
Money in the bank. WM 22. ***3/4
RVD/Benjamin. Backlash ***3/4
Benoit/Booker. No Way Out. ***1/2
JBL/Mysterio. Judgement Day. ***1/2
HHH/Cena. Wrestlemania 22. ***1/2
Elimination Chamber. ***1/4

Honourable mentions go to Angle/Orton/Mysterio, the battle royal for the vacant World Title

I can't put matches like MNM/London & Kendrick, Benoit/Finlay, the Rumble, Nitro/Carlito/Benjamin and RVD/Edge because I've only seen them once. Either way, only four matches breaking **** is bad considering it's September now.
