While we're on that note: did you guys notice that the PSA no longer says, "Please, don't try this at home." It's been shortened to, "Please, don't try this." WWE is seriously trying to CTA.

Anyway, the message starts off with things like, "I trained for years," and stuff like that about being well prepared. I'd assume WWE is concerned about the potential argument that the preperation is for the "actual wrestling" and not strangulation by neck-tie. I can imagine some kid strangling another and Vince McMahon in court attempting to explain what, precisely, the "training" a wrestler has to go through in preperation for this "maneuver."

Who knows... Pretty soon we'll have Michael Cole saying, "Edge has gone through intense TLC training for the matchup this Sunday because injuries are very serious, kids."

I'll prefer Kane as champ over "lil Rey" any day. Hope he doesn't lose it tonight on Smackdown.

And what's this I hear about an ECW invasion on TNA? Sounds like Tommy Dreamer + people who already work for TNA "invade" the room.

And between the orange and blue attire, the funny hand gestures before delivering an attack, the "beat down before becoming an all powerful entity" act, it's getting old. John Cena, you can cut as much of Darren "Black Cena" Young's spikey hair as you want, but you will never be Goku from Dragonball Z.

Very interesting.

I think she'd've had a real good shot at the seat had Dodd not pulled out. As it is, Richard Blumenthal has been dominating in the polls (against her and both her fellow Republicans) by a two-thirds majority.

I guess it's for the best if she loses. I'd like to see what happens to WWE's PG status after the 2nd of November.

Alberto Del Rio?! Are you fucking kidding me?! They better have him somehow lose his title shot before WrestleMania. If he actually main-events WrestleMania, I will never watch wrestling again. That was the most bullshit I have ever seen in my life.

It was better than having Cena or Santino win it.

Loved the Rumble, then again I always loved it. Spider Morrison and the returning Booker T and DIESEL (!!!) were icing on the cake.

Seriously.

And, at the very least, a Santino victory would have had comedic value. Del Rio winning doesn't do anything for me. I can't take him seriously and he's not very funny. I'd have preferred if Cena or Orton won (as redundant as it would've been). I'd have preferred if Barrett won. I'd have preferred many people.

I really hate when something happens and people are all, "that sucks," before giving it a shot to develop so I'll hold back on the, "that sucks," but this really, REALLY turned out to be the weakest Rumble I've seen and Del Rio winning punctuated that.

I dislike Cena too but I definitely would have preferred him over Del Rio. At least he has some credentials. And of cource Santino winning would have sucked, but at the end when he snuck back into the ring, I was actually excited because it looked like Del Rio wasn't going to win after all. I honestly would have rather seen Santino win. At least he's sometimes entertaining in some capacity. Del Rio is a joke and I have never liked him and I never will like him. His winning the Royal Rumble diminishes its value. It means nothing now. Anyone can win. Watch Goldust win next year. And maybe Yoshi Tatsu will win the following year. I am just so appalled.

The match was great up until the end. I did enjoy the Morrison moment. I'm a big Morrison fan. If they wanted to have a lesser star win, it should have been him. He is far more deserving and entertaining that Del Rio.

I was also very excited for the returns of Booker T and Diesel. However, not having Triple H or Undertaker return was an epic fail.

I can accept Santino with the tag title since that division is pretty much dead now, but to win in that fashion when you magically appear when people think you're gone minutes later is so old. That match means too much to end it on a comedic note.

I haven't seen much of Del Rio to judge him (I rarely watch Smackdown) but he seems okay from his Raw appearances. Hell, the guy hyped the PPV more than anyone since the show was announced so kudos to him for that.

I will admit that I was cheering for Barrett to win, but as soon as Cena was eliminated (finally Miz did something I loved) I was happy with whoever won. Besides, the whole idea of the Rumble is that anyone could win so to have a less obvious person take it was a nice surprise. If Del Rio sucks in his Wrestlemania outing, then I'll join in the disappointment.

Speaking of disappointment, how sad is it that Hornswaggle was in the ring longer than Booker T and Diesel ... combined?

That was a disappointing Mania.

The Rock had a good opening warm up promo. In fact, everything Rock touched was gold. The Pee Wee promo, putting down Mae Young, saving the main. I enjoyed it all.

The opening video package with The Expendables theme was ace. Really pumping video.

Edge vs. Del Rio

A really strong match. It was only ten minutes long, but they really did all they could with the limited time they had. I was expecting Del Rio to win, but since the finish was a really good back and forth, I didn't mind Edge winning too much.

***

Cody Rhodes vs Rey Mysterio

I laughed at the Captain Mysterio costume. This was another good match, 12 minutes was maybe a little short, but still enough to produce a good match. I'm really impressed with Cody's work here. He used to be one of those bland WWE mid carders with the generic alt rock music and the basic WWE style of wrestling, but I really want to see him soar in the future. I do hope they continue his push.

***1/4

Snoop's auditions. With the exception of Regal's rap, this was a gigantic piece of shit and a waste of time.

Makeshift Face Team vs. The Corre

Fucking pointless. They could've actually told a decent story about The Corre being a cohesive unit and the face team being at a disadvantage, because they're a rag tag group who don't even like each other. DUD

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

A good, solid 15 minute match that kept me interested throughout. Orton's best match and individual performance in a long damn time. Punk was great as usual, his reaction during that near miss RKO was awesome.

***

Cole vs. Lawler

This was fucking bullshit. All of it. The feud should've ended here with Cole getting raped, killed and fucking off. There's no fucking reason to continue this shit. The only bright spots where Austin dropping f-bombs (despite being censored) and Booker being a total doofus.

DUD

Taker vs HHH

Holy shit this was awesome. These two died for the booking teams sins right here. Honestly thought Hunter had it there after the tombstone.

****1/4

Snookimania.

I hope Morrison got himself over in the back for that sweet moonsault. Otherwise more worthlessness.

DUD

Miz vs. Cena

This was the worst main event since the 90's at least. The crowd was fucking dead here, Fruity Pebbles was absolutely lethargic and Miz' ringwork is solid but not fantastic. I really love Miz as a Honky Tonk champion, the face that beats him will get a massive pop, so I hope he keeps the belt for quite a while. DUD

The Rock throwing the laptop away and the script on the keyboard flying everywhere was EPIC. Can't they seriously just e-mail the whole script on Outlook?

I know it's bad long term logic, but I'm glad WWE decided to throw us a bone and have The Rock standing tall.

Maybe it came off better on tv, but most of it sounded shite apart from a few matches

And how did they fuck up Cole vs Lawler? It's was so simple. Lawler beats the crap out of him for 5-6 mins, piledriver.....cole is strechered out and we get some rest from the annoying prick for a few weeks at least angry angry

Very sad to have just discovered that Macho Man died.

Very disappointed that he'll be a posthumous member of the HoF.
