The X-Divison owns big time cheesy

I'm gonna get one of the DVD's soon

On to WWE news, Christian's push is over

Many of the WWE wrestlers have been losing faith in the creative process. Several weeks ago, before all the cuts were made, Vince McMahon delivered a speech backstage telling people they needed to “step up”.
However, many of the wrestlers feel that is nearly impossible seeing as how creative controls their every move. They are even limited as to what they can say in interviews by the creative process.

With that being said, one of the WWE superstars being most affected by this is Christian, whom just a few weeks ago looked as though he was going to get a main event push only to have that pulled out from under him. It is unknown why all the sudden WWE decided not to go forward with pushing Christian in the main event.

I've always thought of Christian as a very talented wrestler and was disappointed when he was overlooked for the big push in favour of Edge. The thing that I feel lets him down is his size. Vince McMahon has shown that he prefers having bigger guys as main eventers and a guy like Christian, especially since he's a heel, couldn't really hold his own in the main event spot. Personally I'd like to see him turned into a face as it would make him winning the world title seem a bit more of a reality.

That sucks harder than the fact that Batgirl lives in another country!

Dammit, as if Christian couldn't handle main events if he fueds with Benoit, Orton, Eddie, Booker, Mysterio, Undertaker and Batista.

IMO they should have those guys constantly wrestle each other. They'd help raise each others status and make a Smackdown Seven.

IMO if Smackdown was just those guys, the bWo and all the cruisers Smackdown would totally pwn RAW.

Speaking of Cruisers.

Jamie Noble, Spanky and Brock Lesnar have all been given WWE contracts!

FUCK YEAH!

*Head cocks to the right as it has just been pounded from left field*

Holy shit!

Jamie Noble and Spanky?

I already knew about Brock but this is... freakin' A.

cry

I just realized those are SmackDown! guys...

...sob...

Speaking of SmackDown!... JBL is number 1 contender again... (Big surprise!... Is it just me or was what happened my prediction for the Great American Bash? I would've been right if not for Hassan's troubles.) Of course, given my current state of emotions towards SmackDown! it only succeeds in turning me off more.

Then there's MNM... let me get this straight. I thought they were a decent to mediocre team whose biggest flaw was Mileena (another annoying person who can't wrestle) and in order to fix this or better the team or, I guess, make them bigger heels WWE decides to add another annoying person who can't wrestle into the mix... but wait. Let's make this one someone that you not only don't want to see because of her lack of ability and annoyingness... Let's make you literally not want to see her for her physical appearance! MNM have acheived monster-heel status according to WWE.

Let's not forget that the actual wrestlers in the trio (Mercury and Nitro) weren't wrestling but standing around while Mileena had a match that I didn't even pay attention to. To tell you the truth, WWE.com says that she was facing Torri Wilson but I'm not sure if that's correct (I, for some reason, think it's wrong). That's how little I care.

Heidenreich's mohawk is cool.

I can't believe how easily he and Animal defeated to legendary Chris Hamrick and Chuck Sealy. That was a fantastic match.

Looks like the Rey/Eddie saga continues for at least one more PPV. Oh, and that secret was *sarcasm* a complete shocker, man!

It was cool to see OJ looking like a guy like him should after facing Benoit. But then again... It would've been cool to not see OJ at all.

The Mexicools actually saved Scotty and Regal from having a terrible match. Because they are not Mexicans... They're Mexicool.

Was Batista on SmackDown! and I missed him? Just making sure.

Here's how I'd improve the Smackdown roster! IMO who gets fired, hired or sent to RAW.

Al Snow: Didn't even know he was on the roster. If he wrestles I'll be happy if not go train OVW kids.

Batista: I'm happy just where he is. Main eventing. He's in my list of 'brat pack' wrestlers I like to call the 'Smackdown Eight'.

Booker T: Another 'Smackdown Eight' guy. I'd use him more than he is being used. It's usually when he has a fued is when at his best these days.

Candice: Na na na na! Na na na na! Hey hey hey! Goodbye!

Chris Benoit: Make him the friggin' champion dammit! The third of the SD8.

Christian: SD8 guy number four. I'd give him a run with the U.S. Title to warm him up for the World title.

Daivari: Make him Cruiser champ dammit!

Doug Basham: Keep him, bring back Danny. Reunite them. That's one team for the division.

Eddie Guerrero: SD8 guy number five. I'd have him be the HHH of Smackdown. Basically he'll own the brand.

Frankie Kazarian: I don't even know who he is. If he's good keep him. If not he can piss off.

Funaki: Use him more. I'd make plenty of Cruiserweight tag action to curtain jerk.

Hardcore Holly: I'd send him to RAW.

Heidenreich: More like Heidenfired.

JBL: YOU'RE FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEED

Jillian: WTF? Is that a slice of pizza on her face? Get the 'f' out hack!

MNM: Keep em. Melina she can stay as long as she doesnt open her mouth.

Josh Matthews: Bye bye.

Juventud: Keep him! Dammit!

Michael Cole: Yeah whatever.

Michelle McCool: I think she genuinely wants to be a wrestler. Good. Send her to OVW and when she's ready off to RAW with her.

Nunzio. Use him more.

OJ: Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Paul London: Rules. Give the cruisers more time.

Psycosis: He's cool but damn, put his mask back on.

Randy Orton: SD8 guy number six. Basically the same job as the other SD8 boys.

Rey Mysterio: SD8 boy #7. Whatever they're doing he does too.

Animal: Stay retired dammit.

Scotty: Drop the worm use him more.

Steve Romero: Who? Fire his ass for not doing shit.

bWo: They rock. Give them more comedy segments.

Super Crazy: They have a great cruiser division. Showcase them!

Sylvain Grenier: Bring Renee Dupree over and make them a team. Keep them French but drop the stereotypes.

Tazz: Pay rise.

Theodore Long: Doing a great job.

Torrie Wilson: Have her manage the bWo.

Undertaker: SD8 number 8. Give him one last long ass title reign.

William Regal: Send him to RAW. Make him a tag team with Hardcore Holly.

I would love to watch even only one episode of your SmackDown!... well, except for bringing back the Bashams and I'm on the fence as far as Heidenreich is concerned. Oh, and no way should Batista be main eventing anything other than a body building competition.

Love the LOD but Animal can't replace Hawk so he should just call it a run and that's it. However, he and Heidenreich aren't bad compared to the rest of SmackDown! right now.

I'd love to see Juvi and Rey feud... or Juvi and Psycosis... or Juvi and Super Crazy... Hell, here's a list:

Juvi vs. Rey
Juvi vs. Psycosis
Juvi vs. Super Crazy
Juvi vs. London
Rey vs. Psycosis
Rey vs. Super Crazy
Rey vs. London
Psycosis vs. Super Crazy
Psycosis vs. London
Super Crazy vs. London

The Cruiserweight division has enough there to be good for over two years.

Now... I'm gonna go check out that X-Division.

I reckon I could a cool Smackdown.

The show starts...

Every show would have a 15 minute cruiserweight opener.

Then a 5 minute promo hyping the main event.

A promo hyping a big PPV maych. Say Orton vs. Undertaker, Orton comes out says somthing to the lines of he's been watching the wrestlemania match every day he's studied it what not. We get some Undertaker theatrics. This should take about ten minutes.

Then a tag team division match. Example, MNM & Bashams vs. bWo and a guy I want to push, maybe Frankie Kazarian if he's good. This should be roughly ten minutes.

Another promo hyping a PPV match. Say Batista vs. Eddie. Eddie comes out runs his mouth on Batista. This should be roughly 5 minutes.

Then a first hour main event. Christian vs. Rey for the U.S. title or something along the lines. This should be 20 minutes.

The Eddie vs. a mid carder like Funaki. This could be about five minutes and then Batista can beat up on Eddie afterwards for running his mouth on him earlier, this should also take about five minutes.

Another promo hyping another PPV match. For five mnutes.

Then we get a half hour main event. which leaves you wanting to order the PPV. Say Benoit goes for a headbutt and Booker T puts knees up and gives Benoit a 'concussion'. Which makes everyone wonder how he's going to fight Christian at the PPV for his U.S. title if he's injured.

You like?

Only problem I see is the 20 and 30-minute matches. Don't get me wrong. I love 20 and 30-minute matches but if you do them on regular shows you leave nothing for PPV. Besides even if they aren't on this PPV they could be used later. You eliminate long-run potential. Other than that, it was great. Actually, some of the stuff made me smile at the idea of it happening.

hmm.. Maybe have the 30 minute main event as a 15 tag tem main event?

Instead of a 20 minute match have a battle royal or a midcard match and PPV hype promo.

Some new DVD release dates

August 23- Tombstone- The History of the Undertaker 3 DVD set

September 27- Ultimate Warrior 2 DVD set

November 1- Jake "the snake" Roberts 3 DVD set

November 15- Bret "the hitman" Hart 3 DVD set

3 disks for Jake is a bit suprising.

I'll more than likely get the Bret DVD, though it should be like 4 or 5 disks IMO

And they better have lots of footage of The New Hart Foundation angry They kicked ass

I finally managed to see Backlash 2005 today. I had promised to have a review up by July but exams and assessment tasks for school prevented me from doing so. I had a bit more free time lately so I went out and bought it.

Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin.
This was a very good match. Shelon proved that he's ready for the big time. They mixed alot of styles together as they started off with trying to out mat wrestle each other and with that not working they started brawling. This led to an awesome spot where Benjamin tried to powerbomb Jericho on the outside of the ring but Jericho reversed it into a hurricanrana. This was the match of the night.

Rating: I'm torn between ***3/4 and **** because the match needed a few more minutes and there was a few off moments.

Tag team turmoil.
I'm usually not a fan of gauntlet style matches as the falls are to quickly done. However, the extremely solid work done between all the teams more than made up fo that. Tajiri and Regal proved that they still can get it done in the ring better than most of the goof offs like Masters and Snitsky.

Rating: **3/4

Edge vs. Chris Benoit. Last Man Standing.
Solid and realistic fight here between a very good wrestler and the wrestling god. I think this was slowed down by the ref's 10 counts and that hurt the match a bit. Another problem was the finish. I didn't mind that Edge won but the brick to the head wasn't exactly as epic as I would've liked.

Rating: ***1/4

Kane vs. Viscera.
I'll give Kane some credit here. He tried his damnedest to give us a good match here busting out moves that he rarely did like a plancha and a legdrop. However Viscera is in no way a carryable opponent.

Rating: 1/4*

Hulk Hogan & HBK vs. Hassan & Daivari.
Pretty much what I was expecting here. This was more a nostalgia trip than a match. But still there was some decent work from Hogan, Hassan and Daivari while HBK was excellent as usual. All in all a fun match.

Rating: **1/2

Batista vs. HHH.
This was slightly behind their Wrestlemania encounter. I liked the way HHH used every heel tactic he's used to win his matches over the years but Batista dodged all the bullets. Also another part I liked was how they both kept trying to hit their finishers on each other but the other man kept on escaping them throughout the match. This was smart as the build up was about the Pedigree being a kill move and that Batista was supposedly afraid of it. The part I didn't like was the ref bump and the Pedigree which kept Batista down for a 7 count. I know that it would come into play in the Hell in a cell match but it hurt this match.

Rating: ***

All in all a very solid PPV that enjoyed alot. Overall I'd rate it 7/10.

Man, I gotta add Tombstone: History of the Undertaker to my DVD list and I still haven't bought Benoit, Flair, Guerrero, Foley, or FTV: Shawn Michaels. OGH!!!

BTW: Thanks for the heads up about LimeWire, dude.

Is cool. I can't wait to get UT's DVD as well. I suggest Bret Hart's being a priority.

I'd say it's like this.
Bret
Foley 10/10
FTV: Shawn Michaels 10/10
Benoit 9.5/10
Flair 9.5/10
Guerrero 9.5/10
Undertaker

I might get my hands on JDaY 2005 today or tomorrow if all goes well. I downloaded the I Quit match and it was suprisingly excellent. ****. If Guerrero/Rey, Booker/Angle and Chavo/London are anywhere near it in quality I'll be getting it for sure.

Summerslam rundown time.

Kurt Angle vs. Eugine.
I'm dissapointed that they're not using guys like Shelton Benjamin and the Big Show who could benefit from a fued with Angle. They'd also produce a better quality match. The fued hasn't been too good either.
Winner: Kurt fucking Angle.
Rating: **

OJ vs. Benoit.
I was absolutely sickend at GAB when OJ won. IMO Benoit should've won at GAB and defended against Christian and Booker in a 3-way. OJ has been an absolutely shit champ.
Winner: Please Benoit! Please!
Rating: 1/2* like the last one.

Undertaker vs. Orton.
Their last match was superb. I'm a fan of Orton and I believe that he should be fighting for the world title here. In any case I'm happy with the fued.
Winner: Orton.
Rating: ***1/2

Eddie vs. Rey in a ladder match.
Ok, this fued got stupid when Dominick was included. It's gonna end here. Thats it. They've been holding back for that final match. If they don't go all out I'm gonna be pissed.
Winner: Rey.
Rating: ****-*****

Matt Hardy vs. Edge.
HARDY HARDY HARDY HARDY HARDY HARDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111shift+1
Winner: No contest.
Rating: None. This'll be more like a segment than a match.

Batista vs. JBL
I want JBL to die.
Winner: Batista
rating: *

Hogan vs. Michaels.
This fued is pretty good. The match won't be. I hope Bret comes back and totally beats the shit out of both of them with Sledgie.
Winner: HBK
Rating: **1/2

Jericho vs. Cena.
This is the match I've been looking forward to the most. It's great to see Jericho in the main event. I really want him to win but he'll be taking a few months off to work with Fozzy. In any case Jericho will probably give it his all and since winning the title Cena has been giving great performances too.
Winner: Cena
Rating: ***1/2 to ****
