You're right Clerk, we should get together. Although the large expanse of water separating us means we'd only be able to see each other at weekends. tongue

Batman demo comes out friday. Looking forward to it

Was gonna wait till i played the demo to see whether i was gonna get it, but i pre-ordered it yesterday for the bargain price of 22.44 from The Hut. I thought it was obviously a mistake and they'd just cancel it, but checked my account earlier and it's still showing up the same price. Fingers crossed it stays that way

Batman demo is out early. Just been plaing it. It'awesome. I spent about 20 mins taking out some guards. Just fucking with them. I'd chuck a batarang and then swing off and just watch them start to panic. I had them shitting bricks grin

cheesy

I paid $150 for Sony's earlier consoles so I will gladly pay double to show my support. Remember that the PS3 version of Batman: Arkham Asylum is the only version that has a playable version of The Joker.

I hated the look of the slim at first, but it grew on me since I saw the bulky original.

Got Batman

It's absolutely awesome, especially the Scarecrow parts. Downloaded the Joker maps too. There great. The way he walks is hilarious. Got a 32 hit combo with him, which is my biggest so far

PS3 Slim made me buy a seventh generation game console. I bought Batman: Arkham Asylum with it. It rocks. I had to get used to the controls but now I get it.

I thought the Scarecrow missions were quite cool but I would have liked a little more variety in it.
Killer Croc gave me the most anxiety. Man, that level was stressing. "Ah! Where's he coming from!?"

I really liked the story, the gadgets, the different takedowns and combat moves (although I really need to practice hand-to-hand combat more).
The Silent Predator challenges easily stand at the top of the extra content for me. I love taking thugs down without being noticed. I really like the objectives you can accomplish (e.g., take down three thugs at the same time with debris from three different walls you blow up with explosive gel).

And yeah, the voice acting is great.

I can hardly wait to start MGS4. I am playing MGS (the original PSX) with my girlfriend. I feel she will need to know the story from the MGS titles to follow the story from MGS4.
(She enjoys games when I play them.)

I though the croc level was pretty boring after the first couple of times he pops up. He just became annoying after that

You'll definitley wanna practise combat on the challenge maps. I'm pretty decent at fighting now. Just takes a while to get used to it. It's more about timing then anything. There's a new map coming out tomorrow on PSN, and there's rumours of another exclusive PS3 map coming out next week too. If it's true, probably be another Joker map

I finished the main game a while ago. I'm finishing of the Riddler stuff now. 206 of 240 so far. I wanna hear what that smug bastard says when you finihs them all

The only thing i didn't like was you don't get to fight the Scarecrow. I really wanted to beat him to a pulp

Overall it's fucking superb. Second fave game i've played this year so far after INfamous

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is out next week too. Wanna get that, but not at the price it is currently. Fucking Activision putting there game prices up. No chance i'm paying 37.99 for it. ....or any game for that matter

I just finished it on Normal difficulty. Not once did he get me. It really helps to have played the game several hours before on Easy. (I always work my way up. A friend of mine never plays a game on Easy. "Out of principle.")

I noticed it also helps to see where the enemies are and to switch target frequently. Especially when you have multiple enemies, it helps me to keep them all taking punches.

I really like getting the hang of it -- I almost used all nine combat moves in a single combo which gives you a trophy.
I try to get all trophies for the game. It is a cool extra addition I do not know from the PS2.

Do you mean the "DLC maps" I read about that came with some exclusive pre-order? I will check PSN tomorrow.

Ah, I did finish the Riddler stuff. Some I found terribly annoying (some riddles, getting all teeth inside Arkham Mansion) but all in all, it passes the time. I had the luck to find the Riddler maps quite soon.
If you want any help without me actually spoiling the riddles for you: let me know.

True. But it seems we might get our chance with the next instalment.

Only game I have played on the PS3 but it rocks. I heard great stuff about inFAMOUS as well.

I usually wait for prices to drop. Right now, I picked up MGS4 cheap and can probably get some other great games cheap as well, since I have a lot of games to catch up on (e.g., inFAMOUS, GTA IV).

The new combat map is perfect for getting huge combos. I got a 78 hit combo before one of those little cunts jumped on my back. It's hard as hell. Once there's like 30 dudes, you're pretty much fucked

Downloaded the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo from the jap store. Camera is still horrible. How they could think that it's fine is mind blwing. Definitley not getting it now

Started playing inFAMOUS again. I decided i was gonna be as evil as possible. I had all the main powers maxed out befroe i got to the thrid island.

There's loads of quality games on Platnium now. You can get Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Killzone and GTA 4 is coming out on it soon too. From !5-18 cheesy

The new Batman game is awesome, first game I've bought new since Grand Theft Auto IV. Camera aside, everything about it is awesome, it's good to be a Batman fan these days.

I played the demo of the first Uncharted. The premise of the game really interested me but the gameplay was just... weird.

I do not know why I felt that way. I just did. The controls bothered me, the targeting system. I guess I also disliked the lack of tutorial so that might have to do with the demo, not the actual game.

When I see other people play it, it looks very interesting. When I play it myself, I feel as if I cannot control the character as well as I should to perform well in the game. That decreases the enjoyment. Does that make sense?

Yeah, the demo is the 4th chapter i think, and it throws you straight into a very combat heavy part. I died many, many times when i first played the demo. Not only are the enimis pretty smart (trying to flank you and flush out) they also take way too many bullets to kill. It's my only real gripe about the first. There wearing t-shirts, yet can take pretty much a whole fucking clip befroe they die. But after a few hours i got it down. I became a headshot master. I got all the trophys for headshots. The first is an awesome game though.

Ucharted 2 is just godly. I just had a shoot where you have to jump from moving cars. Immense.
