If the demo puts you in the thick of things, I might pick Uncharted up second-hand. The enemies were pretty hard to kill, indeed.

You can get it brand new over here for !5, so the most i'd pay for it used is 10 (or whatever that is in euros). Buy it and then get Uncharted 2 cheesy

Finished Uncharted 2. Took about 12 and a half hours. Just incredible game. It's funny as hell, the story is great and the graphics and set pieces are jaw droping. Game of the year, and best action adventure game ever! I've already started again. i just can't stop playing it. Gonna find all the treasures this time smiley

A couple of weeks ago, I registered on a website for games. It also features comments that members make. Apparently, the people there liked my comments so much they voted me Member of the Month. I could choose a game from a subset they had. I chose LittleBigPlanet.

This game delivers something I have never imagined. I can hardly put into adequate words how I experience playing this game. You can play some cool platform levels offline on your own. However, the game really shines when players connect.

For example, you can play the game's levels with someone else and perform tasks only possible for two (or four) players. You can help each other and get to the prizes via team effort. Furthermore, players can create their own levels (e.g., race, hovercraft, paintball) that others can play. People make the most ingenious stuff.
I frequently team up with a guy I know via these boards. Good fun, good fun.

This game grabbed me within the first 30 minutes. Young kids can play it as well -- I have teamed up with 12 year olds cheesy -- but the game itself does not grow old either.

I didn't like the first Uncharted myself, I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about - I just found it incredibly dull. I've just started replaying the original (and best) Tomb Raider! It wouldn't work under XP or Vista even with the various fan made installers that seem to work on some machines and not others. Well I installed Windows 7 on my laptop the other day and Tomb Raider installed first time using the latest and simplest installer! It's not 100% perfect, but it's so much better than the alternative... No more horrible PSX port for me!

Managed to get a God Of War 3 demo code at weekend. It's fucking badass. The parts where you rip the creatures intestines, pull the cyclops eye out and ripping helios's head off really are graphic as fuck. Can't wait till March

Also got the new Ratchet And Clank. Just awesome. I love these games. Loads of cool new wepaons, and best of all.....Mr Zurkon can now be upgraded too. The next one should be "Ratchet and Mr Zurkon" cause he rules so much. The shit he says is even funnier in this one

"Mr Zurkon does NOT come in peace"

"Mr. Zurkon does not need nanotech to survive, Mr Zurkon runs on fear"

"Killing is so very fun, doo daa, doo daa. Zurkon killing all day long, oh the doo daa dey."

"Yoo-hoo, Mr. Zurkon is looking to kill you"
grin

And for anyone in the UK, Sainsbury's are gonna be selling Modern Warfare for 26 tomorrow. I phoned them up to see if it was true, and thay said they've had 400 calls about it. Seems you're gonna have to get there at 7.00am if you want one and i bet it'll be one per customer too. See what Asda and Morrisons do. Ideally i'd like to get a few and sell them on for a nice profit

God of War 2 rocked. I bought it on impulse -- blood 'n gore and mythology seemed like a fun combination -- and me and my girlfriend loved it. I look forward to God of War 3 -- the game should look awesome. Chaos, your comments reassure me!

I hear a lot of news about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Apparently, the game was highly anticipated. I never heard of it but I do not care for first-person shooters, anyway. Did you get a cheap copy for yourself, in the end? I did not know Sainsbury's carried video games...

I completed Grand Theft Auto IV 100% yesterday. Finally! Now I just need the online trophies.

Does anyone have the game LittleBigPlanet? I would love to hook up with more BatSquad members.

Did you get God Of War 2 recently? Cause the GOW collection is coming out soon for PS3. First two games in higher res and trophies. Being a huge God Of War fan i would've normally pre-ordered it straight away, but there's a possibilty that it will be included in the euro GOW 3 collecters edition. So i'll wait till they announce the CE for europe

Yeah, i got a copy for 26. it's just a bunch of scripted events. Enemies pop out exactly the same place, same time....every time. Only plaed about half an hour. Too busy playing Ratchet & Clank

After playing Saints Row 2 god knows how many times, i just couldn't get back into GTA 4. It felt so stiff and boring in comparison

I've had LittleBigPlanet since day it came out. Not played it for a while though

I think I bought God of War 2 four months ago. Second-hand for about 10,- at that. I heard about the God of War remakes for the PS3 -- I did not know they would include trophies, though... I have to say what I will do. I liked playing the game but I doubt I would buy it for full price. I would rather wait half a year when it costs less.

I have never heard of Saints Row 2. I think I played a Ratchet & Clank game on the PS2 some years ago - as well as Jak & Dexter - but I have my fill of them. At least for a little while.

My PSN-ID is tostigroover. Look me up if you want. (That goes for anyone reading this.)

When i am actually online with my PS3, it's not till late

All chart games were 25 in Asda this week. I got Borderlands. It's really great. I like that it's got a bit of RPG in it by leveling up your character and adding skill traits. I'm level 22 at the moment. The guns are awesome. I have a sniper rifle that can set people on fire. Well pleased with it

My copy of Assassins Creed II came today. Gonna start on that tmw

I'm done for games for the year now, except if i see any good bargains

Assassins Creed 2 is awesome. 100% improvement on the 1st. Enzio is a much better character than that miserable Altair cunt and there's so much shit to do. I've actually nearly got all the trophies for it, but i just can't be arsed to get all the feathers.

Definitley one of my fave games of the year

I'm going through Ghostbusters now, the gameplay gets a bit old (God I get tired of blasting little marshmellow men) but the writing is amazing. I kept pissing my pants laughing at every one liner. It's proof there needs to be a Ghostbusters 3.

I finished MGS4. I found it a tad confusing but that might have to do with me leaving for China in-between. Let's see what another play-through can teach me.

The gameplay rocked. I loved how easy the controls felt. And the split-screen scenes rocked.

Metal Gear is confusing, and bat shit insane. That's what makes it awesome though

The microwave bit is nuts. You have to bash the X button like crazy till it hurts. You feel Snake's pain. Genius

I had the impression that, in the microwave. the game decreased your life based on the position you were. They moved you at a constant speed, so that Old Snake would be almost fully depleted upon reaching it.

I can bash that button pretty quickly and I got to the end just alive. I cannot imagine the majority of the people can bash it as quickly as I can. Still they did not die there.

I have to give it another play-through. I did get Oblivion the other day so I have to check that out first.
