I sunk like 110 hours into Oblivion. Did you get the game of the year edition?

tip, join all the guilds and commit a murder so you can join the Dark Brotherhood.

I've been playing Mass Effect 2. It's immense. On Sunday i played it for about 8 straight. Finished my first playthrough yesterday. 38 hours. I bet i can get another 10-15 hours out of it I'f i explore more in my next playthrough.

I did get the Game of the Year edition. I realised as I played it that I started off with the Shivering Isle add-on. This means I have not even played the original game, yet. I guess I can only join guilds there because I have not come across anything of that sort on the Shivering Isles... Do I commit the murder against someone from my own guild? (Yes or no, or at least no spoilers, please.)

The game has engrossed me completely. My girlfriend loves it too (just like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 1-4 and LittleBigPlanet). I started out with the simple quest to investigate a light. This simple investigation has turned into a multitude of different quests, side-quests, assignments and whatnot... Immense...

I didn't start on Shivering Isle till i was about 30 hors or so into the main game

Yeah, there's no guilds there. It's a crazy place. I did get an awesome swrod there though

Just kill a villager/town person (make sure you have some gold though to pay off the bounty), and you'll get visited by a Dark Brotherhood dude when you go to sleep. There by far the best guild imo. You get loads of cool weapons from them for completing quests

What race and skills did you pick? Cause high sneak is something you really need to be able to pull of some of the shit the Brotherhood want you to do

And here's the new GOW 3 trailer http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/02/god-of-war-iii-vengeance-trailer/

March 19th can't get here fast enough. The scale/draw distance is insane

And i just see Flower is only 2.39 on PSN till 18th feb. I'll get it for that price. Looks very chill and mellow

I got a PS3 from Amazon on Black Friday and I'm having a blast with it. I really wish the PSN store would have a God of War 3 demo soon.

Speaking of PSN, they have the game FLOW available for free until midnight EST. No code needed or anything.

I sneak a lot -- I guess I got that from playing Tenchu. I already got to the Master level in Sneaking whilst the other skills are at the bottom three classes.

OK, I get the guild thing. I will do it when exiting the Shivering Isles.

I choose a Khajiit and I created my own skill set (cannot remember which one and I'm pulling an all-weekender with Final Fantasy IX now).

God of War III looks awesome.

Have you guys checked out the demo for Heavy Rain? As a fan of mysteries, I was sucked right in.

The gameplay takes those quick button scenes from God of War to a whole new level where you press more than one at a time to either control what is said (interrogating officers at a crime scene) or your actions (using an inhaler, paying a prostitute).

The graphics are also amazing.

I bought this game called Tomba for PLaystation 1. Did anyone ever play that? I don't think I've ever played a game like it, it's like an RPG platformer type.

I got Flower, as well. It cost 2.99 here -- I consider that a steal. I love it. The game flows nicely and it gives such a nice free feel. The third level (with the windmills) is definitely my favourite.

I too played the Heavy Rain demo. I really disliked the R2-trigger function to walk. The rest I liked. The visuals look stunning. the acting rocks and I heard the game - despite its slow start - hooks you and does not let go. I really feel this game could become something special amongst the games I have played.

I started playing Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Beforehand I had some gripes with the concept of the game (all FF titles stood alone, not any more with this game) but I like the start. Plus, Squall vs. Sephiroth in the intro movie had me jumping up and down my seat.

Never heard of Tomba. Do you like it, Clerk? I just looked it up on Wikipedia -- they state it has received positive reviews. I do recognise the cover art.

Just got Chronicles of Riddick for XBox 360. I never played Escape from Butcher Bay on XBox so I'm playing through that first. Graphics aside, this game has aged excellently. It's awesome.

I played the Yakuza 3 demo and I thought it sucked. I hope you like it but that demo irritated me a lot. Sucky controls, graphics from yesteryear (since it's one year old) and mostly text on the screen instead of spoken dialogue.

No thanks.

If you didn't change the controls from inverted to normal, then that would explain it

The grpahics are really good. There's a lot of detail in shops and stores. The demo is only showing a very, very tiny part. The full game is pretty big. 22 hours or so on my first playthrough and i only had 11% completion.

And it's all in japanese with subtitles anyway, so doesn't make any differnce to the text

I love it. I was playing mini games for about 2 hours last night

My GOW 3 ubber edition should be on it's way soon. It's been packing since yesterday. I wish they'd hurry the fuck up and post it angry I wanna disembowel motherfuckers, dammit!
