Definitley a great boss fight. The graphics for the first part are insane. I know it's cause of the way it's done, but it's still amazing.

How long did you press the button for? grin

Herclues is my fave boss fight though. So brutal

Anyone with a decent PC needs to get on steam. Look at these bargains i just got

Left 4 Dead 2 6.80
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut 4.41
Half-Life 2 Episode 2 4.01
cool cool cool cool

Unbelievable. Left 4 dead is a 24 hour deal. There's about 20 hours left to get it at a crazy price

Got Heavy Rain for 19.95 and Army Of Two: The 40th Day for 9.98 in Blockbusters yesterday

Only played about 40 mins of Army, but it looks like it's gonna be pretty damn good

Heavy Rain is fucking amazing. I was playing it till the early hours last night. It's really tense, my heart was actually pounding in places. And it looks so real sometimes it's scary. Also Madison is hot as hell. Fuck finding the killer, my new mission is to nail her grin

I bought Army of Two: The 40th Day a couple of weeks ago. I thought the game rocked but the servers suck. I cannot connect to people overseas. The story is OK once you get it (which I did not until I read it online) but that all does not matter since the gameplay rocks.

I started playing Fallout 3 a couple of weeks ago. I have immersed myself in it. The game has to wait, though -- I'm on holiday.

Good to hear you love Heavy Rain (and Madison). I need to get that game.

Yeah, now that i've played a bit more it's really good. Verry happy with it

I finished Heavy Rain. Fucking incredible gaming experience. Some of the choices you have to make as it goes on are like choose to do this horrible thing, or this other horrible thing.

Well, I'm still a couple of weeks on holiday. When I get back, I will be available for Army of Two: the 40th Day co-op, if you'd like. That is, the time I am not spending on Fallout 3.

Holy sandwich bag of donut sprinkles! Street Fighter X Tekken, brotherfudgers! This game looks awesome. Can't wait to get it and play it over and over until Tekken X Street Fighter is released which will probably be all kinds of more awesome.

Haha I kept pressing the button for like 10 minutes, wondering when it was gonna end, until I realized I should just let go.

Heavy Rain was a mixed bag for me. The quicktime events were INTENSE just knowing that your character would die any second, but they shouldve just made it point and click instead of the clunky walk around option. When the game made it "life or death" with the walking around portions, I got quite frustrated.

http://www.gamespot.com/event/codes/dc-universe-ps3-beta/?tag=topslot;thumb;3

It's North America only so if anyone from the US could log in and acquire a PlayStation3 code for me, that'd be great. If you have the code, you could PM it to me.

If it's not available anymore, no biggie. I'm just curious.

I just barely got Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3 this Christmas(the Collector's Edition!), and it's living up to all the hype.

I've actually been playing quite a lot of games lately.

Assassin's Creed & Assassin's Creed 2
I never got around to play these games when they were released but finally managed to get them cheap. I liked the first quite a bit. All that free running onto buildings and killing people, pretending to be a monk to blend in and escape the guards... All that stuff rocked.

The only thing annoying about the game is that the game sometimes 'helps' you by guessing where you want to jump towards. I cannot say how many times I have thought to myself, in sarcastic manner: yeah thanks, that was exactly where I want to jump to...

That gripe only got worse in AC2. I think that game frustrated me even more than the first one. I actually did not enjoy playing it that much as the first. Not only because the movement still sucked, also because combat did not work as it should and side missions were boring and repetitive.

AC: 7.5 / 10
AC2: 7 / 10

Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
This game is my new favourite current-gen RPG. I like it better than Final Fantasy XIII and Fallout 3. It has awesome graphics (FF XIII looks better, though) and great playable characters who actually respond to the choices you make throughout the game. I liked the story a lot and the options you have for character growth. The only thing I can think of that I did not like was the fact that your main character does not speak at all.

I loved the expansion and downloadable content for this game as well. It's all included in the ultimate edition -- which can be bought very cheap -- and it really helped to suck a couple of extra weeks out of me.

9.5 / 10

Fallout 3: Game of the Year edition
Fallout 3 rocks. Another great RPG and its setting is the coolest part. Finally not some fantasy world with orcs, dwarves and elves, nor a pseudo scifi world. Fallout 3 takes place in a post-apocalyptic America. Hence the name: nuclear fallout is abundant.

The story is amazing, the different quests you can do, the places to explore. It all helps to build a great experience. The expansions that are included in the GotY edition are lovely too, although they made the game freeze a lot. Especially when the save file grew over 10MB, freezing happened a lot.

It was only a slight downside to this awesome game. I have poured well over 100 hours into this game and loved every single bit of it.

9 / 10

Heavy Rain
My girlfriend bought this. And not for me to play it. No, she actually wanted to play this game herself. Her infamous hand-eye co-ordination is terrible -- which makes it a pain to sit next to the controller instead of actually controlling the game -- but luckily, the game always comes to a conclusion.

The game calls itself an interactive drama, which is a better name for it. A child has been kidnapped by the notorious Origami Killer and you follow four different characters, all linked to this case. You have to chase people, interrogate people, these characters meet each other, your characters can die. It seems like everything is possible in this game. It's also great to see different scenarios play out: posing different questions or acting nice instead of aggressive to people really makes a difference.

Like I said, the game always comes to a conclusion. Your character can die, but that does not mean the other characters cannot rescue the kid any more.

The gameplay is also nicely done. They have done some nice things with the quick time events and other actions you need to perform in the game. Walking around is strange at first but you get used to it.

9- / 10

inFamous
You play Cole, who has received superpowers since he has been in the epicentre of an explosion. You reside in the city where the explosion took place. It has been quarantined and scum has taken to the streets. Time to kick their butts.

The powers you have are the main selling point for this game. The developers have really thought of some nice applications for the electricity-based powers you wield: shields, shock grenades, sliding over cables, thrusters, leeching electric devices (or even people) for health and a couple more.

It is an open world game where you can explore the three islands of the city, finding collectables or performing tasks for the inhabitants and there's also a cool main story taking place. The main story is actually quite elaborate. You will not finish this game in five hours.

The morality choices available in this game also affect your character development: will you become the city's hero or the city's tyrant? Good or bad karma provides different sets of powers, adding replay value.

8.5 / 10

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Having read a lot of good things about this game, with the sequel being released and loving Star Wars for many years, I bought this game cheap. The game really lives up to its name: your character unleashed the force. The force powers you have available to you made me go "boo yah!" whilst playing this. It's awesome to smash Rancors and AT-STs being just one person. You even get to play as Darth Vader himself. Awesome, awesome.

The story is great too: you are Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice. You have to fulfil different several top secret missions for Vader. You have lots of cool levels and boss battles. The most fun I had, though, was entering a large battle field and kicking all sorts of butt with my force abilities. The Power of the Dark Side...

8.5 / 10

Red Dead Redemption
My girlfriend got me this gift for my birthday and it's awesome. Rockstar created so much more than just 'GTA in the wild west.' I like this a lot better than GTA and I am not even a big fan of the western theme. I cannot really put my finger on it but I think it has to do with how 'whole' and 'complete' this game feels. It seems as if Rockstar have really put everything in the game you would expect to find in the wild west, and even some things you had not thought about.

The gameplay is ohenomenal. The controls are great and the variety of missions keeps the entire game feel fresh. The story itself is interesting too.

There's also a multiplayer mode where you can battle other players or form a posse (to explore the world or battle other posses). Usually I do not like online play that much but RDR has a very well-done multiplayer aspect. I like it a lot.

Unfortunately, my copy does not work too well any more. No idea why. I want to keep playing this game.

9 / 10

Modnation Racers
My girlfriend got me this game as well for my birthday. I have only been playing a bit so far so I cannot really comment on it. I have found out that the races can be quite hectic with all the boosts and thrusts for your car and your opponents', the power ups, bombs and missiles flying around, drifting, sideswiping and whatnot.

It's evident they have tried to create a sort of 'LittleBigPlanet racer' with the customisation available. There is nothing wrong with that, of course. I love finding Rorschach, Batman, Captain America costumes made by a fellow players to download. You can create your own costumes, cars and tracks. You have quite a lot of options available too. I have only dabbled in this and will probably not get to the bottom of this creation mode. It takes up too much time. Luckily, the racing is quite all right.

Wet
Sucks.

Right now, I'm also waiting for LittleBigPlanet 2. It should be on its way to my mailbox as I type this. Come on, mailman!
