Well what do you know? I actually liked Son of Batman. Even Assault on Arkham Asylum was good. Way better than Suicide Squad which I still say is terrible.

These movies really don't seem so bad.

Next up: Throne of Atlantis.

I've been staying up with these except for the bu52 adaptations. I've had few complaints and am always happy to see a new one.

Picked up the Judas Contract brd this week. It's nice. Not as bad as I expected. Not the source material, but not bad.
So, yeah. I'm reading the tpb of it now.

While not a comic adaptation, the newest "Batman and Harley Quinn" is pretty good. I could have done without the farts, but other than that, not terrible. I loved revisiting the DCAU / Timmverse.

I watched it today, in the end I was pretty neutral, there were bits I liked, nothing I particularly disliked. It was so much better than most of these New 52 based travesties.

Bruce Timm sure does like his questionable couplings these days. As bizarre and fully questionable as the (strongly implied) sex scene was in this one, at least it wasn't outright offensive in concept like the Batman/Batgirl sex of The Killing Joke prologue, he is probably the only person on the planet who thought those two having sex was a good idea.

Watching the start up trailers on the Blu-Ray, Damian is in The Judas Contract? DC still loving the adaptations that struggle to even stay faithful to the back cover description of the book.

I don't remember for certain if it was in the later episodes of the series (after the time jump) or if it was in the related comics, but it was heavily implied that Dick left because of Bruce's relationship with Barbara.

It's almost like the Hollywood mentality of "let's buy this property's name and make a new story that no one will be familiar with!"

Sounds like something he wants to push, I genuinely don't understand why. I had stopped watching by the time the time jump occurred. From what I've watched of it in recent years I don't like the plots and especially dislike the simplified animation style. I definitely thought the hand animated early episodes were the strongest and most enjoyable, although I did like the inclusion of Batgirl late in the run. I think the last thing story wise before the time jump was the Mr Freeze film, I particularly enjoyed that.
