I don't think it could suck. The book is the best thing that's hit comics in years (at least superhero%2Dwise), and Cooke was in on both the animation process and writing process. It's gonna rock. I might take off work the day it comes out...

I've seen Gotham Knight, so here's my review
First Short is called "Have I Got a Story for You’. It's written by Josh Olson ( A History of Violence). 4 skater kids tell of there Batman sightings. It's like that BTAS episode with with the cool as hell Dark Knight part. It's an ok start
Second is called "‘Crossfire’ wriiten by Rucka. Crispus Allen and his new partner Anna Ramirez (She might be in the film) escorting some nutcase that Batman brings in for them to the new Arkham Asylum. After thay drop him off they get caught in a mob battle between Maroni's and a russian mob. Batman turns up and whoops there ass's. This was probably my second fave one
"Field Test": written by Jordan Goldberg. Hated it. This is the one where Wayne looks like a teenage japanese kid
"Darkness Dwells" written by Goyer. Batman goes after Killer Croc who's been taking people. Scarecrow is also in it. The shots at the start of the city looks awesome, othere than that it meh. Croc is only screen for about a minute or two. It really suffers from being a short IMO
"Working Through Pain’ by Azzarello . Batman is in pain chasing a scumbag and it flashes back to some indian women who showed him how to block out and control pain. This one works well as a short
‘Deadshot’ by Alan Burnet. This one is fucking awesome. Everything about this is spot on. animation, story, cool villian and a badass fight on a train.
Overall i didn't really think the whole shorts thing worked that well. I think it would have been far better if they had made it a proper bridge between begins and dark knight. Showig the rise of Maroni and the cops and Gordan learning to except Batman has a freind. All done with the animation studio who did the last short
I'll give it 3/5

What is with the robo batman in the trailer? Can you elaborate more on the animation of all the shorts?

I don't know who you are, buddy, but plugging your personal enterprises won't last long with an administrator as just, as moral, as fair as we have here. All agree he is the pinnacle of human moral values.

Batman: Gotham Knight - Did NOT like. At all. I understand the stylized animation and the anime fad, but for chrissakes, keep it consistent. I also understand that it's multiple stories, but they didn't feel in line for me.
