The teaser is impressive, and even thematically interesting relative to the two prior films.
Putting Gordon at the center of it, in a hospital, is a telling allegory/metaphor for both Baqtman as a symbol and Gotham's entropy, contrasted or juxtaposed against Bane's strength and the bat-symbol/city skyline crumbling (a sense of Ince[tion's infrastructure, and layering throuh centrifugal and centripetal forces; perhaps a the long-form contrast of something built, then falling apart). It seems to be a further exploration or test of Wayne4's will to protect or "heal" the city, which was pushed as a strong thematic visual in the final flashback in Begins' coda (the doctor father and the stethoscope; "We will bring Gotham back").
Oldman's Gordon is the most emotionally-present and 'real' of the characters in these films, and I do think he's been placed as the foremost figure to symbolize what good there is in Gotham; Oldman's performance is, arguably, what's been giving this idea any weight in the series. And he gives the teaser its strength.
In a way, that's been my favorite part of these films; i.e. Year One Gordon onscreen.
Other thoughts? You can see the line of these films quite clearly: the symbol's creation, its strength through malleability and, now, its brittle core: Bruce Wayne.
It looks as if Batman is actually afraid of Bane in the trailer, which is exciting both dramtically and thematically.
Likewise, the title is suggestive, and a likely play-on-words. The visuals of climbing up -- as opposed to the two films centering on Wayne, then Batman, falling, is very present in the trailer. And the background color for the film's title pushes the idea as well.
Yeah, great teaser.

The new pictures revealing Anne Hathaway's cat ears look silly to me, but, to be fair, all of these set pictures look silly given that they feature adults in costume without the benefit of cinematic lighting.

I just cant get behind Bane as a villain. When your interview consists of saying "Bane wont suck, honest guys," you have a problem here.

Really? I'm looking forward to a depiction of Bane that isn't just strong or relying on the same old, same old tactics. I hope in this film, we will get to see something cool. I don't really care about the interviews.

This movie is going to suck so badly. I haven't seen a single Bat-Nipple on the costume yet. Why even bother if they can't get the basics right?!
A previous (and much better movie) already gave us a wonderful and thrilling Ice Hockey scene with an incredibly believably sized diamond. Add to that, the scene had some of the most hilarously witty jokes ever captured on film by a multifaceted Austrian character actor! The only thing that can redeem this movie for me is a Basketball scene using the rotten head of the Rachel Dawes character...
Actually, that's not a bad idea...

Hey! Hey, this is a Batman movie. Leave Snake Plisken alone.

Trailer looked pretty good. Trailers always look pretty good. I was wondering why Kenny from South Park was the main villain though...
It seems I'm not the only one who had trouble with Bane either, Cameron Stewart had this to say about the Prologue thing showing in some cinemas:
The Dark Knight Rises prologue was really great, especially when Bane spoke the soon-to-be-classic line: "Mmrbl ffrmrff hmrbblfmm."
