xx Saga (by Vaughan & Staples)

Last week, the Saga Deluxe Edition v1 HC arrived. When it started its run back in 2012, feedback sounded over the moon for this new title. Now, after finally reading the first 18 issues, I have to say this praise is well-deserved. The setting of this world (galaxy?) is very intriguing, with its long-lasting war and Romeo and Juliet scenario smack in the middle.

The character designs and voices are just perfect. I can't help but like everyone in this book, even the bounty hunter pursuing the protagonists. My girlfriend read the book first and said that the character designs are amazing: "every time you see a new character, you think 'what the fuck?' and then you wonder how they've come up with this kind of character.' I have to agree with that statement.

Has anyone read this book? It's the kind of comic I'll keep on top of, as opposed to the Marvel and DC stuff.
