I went to Toronto ComiCon today. It's probably small for USA standards--not a jab at the Super Size culture, don't worry--but I had a blast. I had never been to a comic book convention before and this was awesome. Several cosplay groups were present (Star Wars, Dr. Who, X-Men, and more). The floor housed cool booths from comic vendors as well as other geeky stuff stores.

The artists alley had Neal Adams, Ben Templesmith, Larry Hama, Chris Sprouse, Clayton Crain, Nick Bradshaw, Michael Golden, Tom Raney, and more. My girlfriend and I saw two sketch duels. One between Adams, Sprouse and Bradshaw, the other between Mike Del Mundo, Johnny D and Mike Rooth (I think that was his last name). Afterwards, I got bought a sketch at Adams' booth that he signed and dedicated to my girlfriend and myself for $20 (Canadian, mind you). My girlfriend bought a Legend of Zelda shirt and button.

It was a great day.

Sounds like you had a blast. I've not been to one in a few years after getting myself burnt out on going as a vendor. I've really only been to one of any decent size, Dragoncon. It was too big to see the whole thing, so I've not been back to any other sizable ones.
There is one next month where I live, but I'm sure it'll be a dud.

Last night, I tried to link the individual photos in the post but I didn't manage to. I blame my fatigue. Here's the link to the Picasa photo album.
