xx Layout options / suggestions
« Thread started on: Feb 28th, 2006, 2:58pm »

I'd like to get some feedback from you guys on something for the site. As with most of the titles, there is no question. There is one index with one issue grid (marked by year or by issue).
There are titles / series that this could be a problem with, notably Titans and Outsiders. Since there are about 2 dozen various Titans titles (Teen Titans, New Teen Titans, Tales of the Teen Titans, Teen Titans, The New Teen Titans, etc.), multiple grids on one master "Titans" page (as seen for Catwoman - one grid per on-going series)?
Outsiders isn't that much of a problem since there will only be two titles (Batman & the Outsiders and the current one) which will be featured here.
So, the options are "multiple index pages - one per title" or "master index page containing grids for each title"

Thoughts?

Personally I like the Catwoman system because it keeps it all on one page which makes it less confusing for me wink.

I'd go for the way you've handled Catwoman. I agree that it's structured and gives people a good overview of the book.

i have a suggestion for the continuity page:

you have all the books listed, and to their right a logo of the character. it'd be neat if you could click on the logo and it would go to a page where it has the books in continuity for just that character. so, if you just want batman stuff, you dont have to come across it mixed in with the rest of the DCU.

I agree with the others. Have all the books in one grid.

I'd like to see marv's idea come to fruition, but it would be time consuming, wouldn't it?

It's already in the works.
