I came across some intercompany crossovers featuring Batman, some of them even had more than one run.

Can you tell me which titles kick ass and which don't?

- Batman vs Predator
- Batman/Judge Dredd
- Batman/Spawn
- Batman/Punisher
- Spider-Man/Batman
- Daredevil/Batman
- Batman/Aliens
- Batman.Hellboy/Starman
- Batman/Tarzan

There are two Batman / Spawn (technically one is Spawn/Batman). One by DC, the other by Image. Frank Miller wrote one, but it's ... trite.

There were also two Batman / Punisher. One DC, one Marvel. One of them was Az-Bat / Punisher smiley

Batman/Hellboy/Starman rocked ass.

Thanks! So far, I hunted down:

- Batman/Judge Dredd (Collection, HC)
- Batman/Spawn & Spawn/Batman
- 2x Batman/Spider-Man: Disordered Minds and New Age Dawning)
- Batman & Captain America
- Batman/Hellboy/Starman: Book One: Gotham Grey Evil
- Batman vs Aliens I (1997) - There was a sequel in 2003, anybody read this one? Is it any good?

I will be looking out for Batman/Predator I, II (Bloodmatch) and III (Bloodties).

Any other suggestions; what's good, what's not? Punisher (Deadly Knights/Lake Of Fire), Daredevil, Tarzan?

Geez, I suddenly have had the urge to collect Elseworlds and intercompany crossovers, what's wrong with me? rolleyes

OOOH! Is this the one where it ends up in the future with Dick as Batman and Bruce, Jr. as Robin? Or have I lost my gourd?

Yep, that's the one. I have yet to receive the comic book but did some looking up:

[SPOILER ALERT]

John Byrne created his own Bruce Jr. in the epilogue of the Batman/Captain America crossover from 1996; this Robin is a red-head and resembles a male Carrie Kelly. Captain America wakes up in modern times after having been frozen in ice towards the end of World War II. He reunites with Batman, a friend who had helped him when Joker and Red Skull joined forces. The Captain is amazed to learn that in the time he slept, Bruce Wayne has retired from being Batman, has passed the mantle to Dick Grayson and that his son Bruce Junior is the new Robin.

Lie down on the couch! What does that mean?
You're a nut! You're crazy in the coconut!

I used to buy these one-shots. Always over-priced and awful. It took me years to ask a simple question: "why am I buying this crap?" But I also used to buy $5.00 chocolate bars with Spawn wrappers. Hey, I was twelve.

On the other hand, there's always the Chinatown line: Politicians, ugly buildings, and whores all get respectable if they last long enough.

Maybe the same logic applies to hideous intercompany crossovers that are either from C-list hacks or talent under duress.

Yeah, well, in a fairly short time I have found and bought the Elseworlds titles and intercompany crossovers that I want to try (quite a few actually), but now I'm heading back to main continuity. I finally found A Lonely Place Of Dying and The Many Deaths Of The Batman (in trade)!

Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown.
